The Grundman does have a more solid bass and a bit more soundstage, more 3D if you will, but the 30th is pretty solid. can anybody confirm levi seitz cut the record and its a pallas pressing I was wondering if its still BG mastering or Levi remastered it.

They are pretty similar but if i must say which one has a more natural, impressive sound, i'll say the ORG one. After a thorough vacuum cleaning and the usual nerdy preliminaries,I gently dropped the shibata stylus into the groove that eventually leads to the first chords we all have integrated into our personal history, one way or the other. I'll say the cover looks fantastic and the attention to detail ON it is amazing, they didn't change much to the slick inside, but the sound, dynamic range on this attempt is awful. Nirvana "Nevermind" 30th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition on 8 LP + one 7-inch with 40-page hardcover book.

This release is the only pressing I have found that shares the ORG stampers, and they are conveniently preserved and scratched out in the matrix. This press is excellent breed in particular the bass comes alive so funky and rhythmic, Kurt's voice and guitar on lithium sound great a lot more depth than on later releases including the outstanding pallas pressing which this marginally beats, this one sounds like it was recorded at home, the pallas one sounds like it was recorded in a studio with an audience is the best way I could describe the difference. I'm not knowledgeable enough to know how close the DNA is between this US first press and this EU first press ( https://www. I dont know what record spinners you folks use to listen your precious vinyl records, but this reissue kick arse through my system. If I remember from The In Groove's video on the pressings of this album, this Grundman cut is all-analog.

Subjectively, I wonder if the bass is quite as good on this as on the German Sonopress (which is what fixated me on getting a first press of my own), but in any event, it’s close to it and vastly superior to the reissues, including the BG cut (which I also own). I have several versions and didn't realize how good this one was until i read the reviews on discogs. Considering damn near every track on here was spun off into the charts, we're all used to hearing this album and it can get pretty overplayed. The record is really heavyweight and flat as a pancake, but the audio quality is really questionable, the sound of this remaster is acceptable and OK, but it's totally a different soundstage compared to the 1st press. I had never considered taking in Nevermind on CD,but this is so much better than earlier Remasters(including the 20th anniversary). If it does turn out that the tapes for Nevermind were lost, this is without a doubt the last analog pressing possible. Ok, now we are done with the things I like about the album, let us get on to the bad things about this album and the band in general. The deluxe edition has eight discs, which include some famous 91/92 tour shows including the famous Paradiso show. Anyway its got killer sound and seeing as unless you're willing to drop incredible coin for an original '91 pressing, pick this up!

Overall, this pressing is OK at last, but maybe I just got a bad copy (I don't have any other pressing to compare). This is the definitive cut and will likely be the last wholly analog stampers of Nevermind ever made, though there are re-pressings. taught me a lesson of cutting the sleeves with scissors instead of taking the record out just to avoid hairline scratches.

When it comes to vinyl this is as good as it's gonna sounds without getting the very very first press. One of my all-time great music regrets is holding a gold stamped promo of Nevermind in my hand in 1991, and passing on it because I decided they had sold out. Masterdisk mastered both pressings, but I don't know for sure that Masterdisk actually cut both lacquers.
