About this deal

What: If you’re going for the creme de la creme Easter Egg this year, you can’t go wrong with Ducasse.

Their organic ‘milk’ chocolate is made withUTZ-certifiedcocoato support sustainable farming methods. The chocolate is beautifully sweet, as all white chocolate should be, and perfectly smooth and creamy. The chocolate itself had a rich cocoa taste that was more like dark chocolate rather than milk chocolate. This egg is created by the UK-based company Moo Free, which is known for its high-quality, vegan chocolates. Romney isn’t particularly big, so this is on the more expensive side for an Easter treat, but for fans of both dark chocolate and marshmallows it’s a must. That said, NOMO’s milk chocolate is beautifully creamy and I consider it to be one of the best vegan milk chocolate alternatives – especially amongst those that can be easily picked up in my local supermarket! Thankfully, this year's Vegan Salted Caramel Easter Egg comes with an additional chocolate bar to keep you ticking over. This beautifully designed egg was made and hand-painted in Kashmir, India but jam-packed with delectable chocolate truffles from Norfolk.

With a lavishly thick chocolate shell that takes sheer brute force to crack and measures in at a girthy 1cm, this is one satisfying egg.And that’s not all, says HiP, the egg also has approximately 35% less sugar than your average high street dairy milk chocolate egg and more cocoa too (41%), for more guilt-free indulgence over the holidays. This egg is perfect not only for vegans but for sufferers of allergies to dairy, gluten, egg or nuts.

We tasked our panel of expert taste testers to crack into a range of vegan-friendly Easter eggs from the UK’s leading chocolatiers — tough job, but someone’s got to do it. Packaging: Fully recyclable plastic, however the bunny’s packaging must be recycled with bags at large supermarkets. Both Hammy and Mikey are studded with popping candy which adds another layer of fun to these chocolate treats. The Honeycomb Blast egg offered a very creamy-tasting chocolate which was generously studded with crunchy honeycomb chunks, some of which were quite large. There are 5 decadent truffle flavours available: Hazelnut Crunch, Fine De Champagne, Chocolate Orange, Honeycomb Caramel, and Chocolate Salted Caramel (this is the flavour that we tried). The egg is accompanied by a full-sized Honeycomb Blast bar which is unlikely to last for long once the rather moreish egg has been demolished.

It’s an excellent balance of flavours where it’s slightly bitter, but not overly so and the sweetness still comes through.Choose froman array of flavours, includingFizzy Orange Chocolate, Honeycomb, Choccy Eggsplosion, White Chocolate Fizzy Lemon and ‘Milk’ Chocolate. For Easter, find this egg - a Salted Caramel Oat Milk - that tastes just like the real thing combined with a Maldon sea salt twist. That’s not a massive issue if you’re planning to eat it all yourself, but sharing it would be more problematic. I was slightly underwhelmed by the size of the egg compared to the box, especially given that this isn’t the cheapest egg.
