We are very fortunate to have some signed copies of Marianne Berkes book to both of my children and although our copy of Over in the Ocean: In a Coral Reefis not signed it is still a much loved book on the shelf. The underwater photographers have captured the diversity and intrigue that life below the surface of the ocean waters. This nonfiction book is about a fight between two of the most dominant ocean creatures, the killer whale and the great white shark. In this book about the deep sea’s elaborate ecosystems, marine biologist Helen Scales highlights the wild fact that the deep sea is a realm we know less about than the moon!
