For new wild campers, this tent would be a great option, as well as those who are maybe looking to upgrade from a much cheaper tent. The Vango Halo Pro 300 tent is a semi-geodesic design tent built to withstand the majority of harsh weather the UK cant throw at you.

The hydrostatic head of 3,000mm for both groundsheet and fly is sufficient for camping in milder weather in the UK. The bedroom width of 160cm is on the small side, so you may find this quite snug compared to other options for 3, however, this tent does give you lots of storage, with an overall length of 420cm. The weather was changeable (this is Scotland in February), but that couldn’t dampen the stunning view across the Loch to the snow capped mountains in the distance. The reason for this is so that during windy conditions you can pitch with the back of the tent towards the bad weather. This tent’s three-pole tunnel design is easy to pitch, while the waterproof polyester flysheet (with a hydrostatic head rating of 5000mm)is more than capable of keeping rain, sleet and snow at bay. The hydrostatic head of 2,000mm for the fly and 3,000mm for the groundsheet is a little low, meaning this tent would be better for milder weather conditions.
