Parker Jotter Fountain Pen | Bond Street Black | Medium Nib Parker Jotter Fountain Pen | Bond Street Black | Medium Nib

A Parker Classic, the Jotter is celebrated for its streamlined design, durability and affordability, making it the ideal pen when you are on the go. There’s enough of a choice that you can customize your next fountain pen to suit your needs and style perfectly. The rollerball tip enables consistent flow of ink directly onto the paper resulting in maximum control for minimum effort. With a stainless-steel cap that is complemented by a glossy and colourful barrel, the Jotter Original range comes in a variety of writing types to adapt to all lifestyles and can be refilled with Quink flow refills available with both ballpoint and gel ink.The current Jotter may be considered a re-release, but it looks very like the pen depicted as the Mixy on parkerpens. In theory, Parker took the classic good looks of their iconic Jotter ballpoint pen and turned it in to a fountain pen.

Fountain Pen Review: Parker Jotter Fountain Pen - The Well Fountain Pen Review: Parker Jotter Fountain Pen - The Well

I have used fountain pens all my life, my first was a Parker in mid-60s, have never had this issue before. The Parker Jotter’s simplistic yet refined design is enough to coax anyone into at least consider purchasing it, but is it a worthwhile pen to own? I put the blue end in, it seemed to fit, there is ink there but it is not flowing down into the nib…? Nicole S over on Pen Addict Slack asked me (and other pen community bloggers) to give a shout out for her survey on inks and whether they are wet or dry. This will cause the lines of your characters to blend together and your writing will lack proper definition. I think that I read somewhere that the Jotter was too small to fit a converter, but I have not tried it to confirm. Combining Jotter's distinctive silhouette and the iconic Parker arrow clip, it is the original design icon, capturing thoughts and inspiring new ideas since 1954.

Parker’s warranty is a reflection of the manufacturer’s trust in their work, and with a warranty of 2 years, it’s safe to assume that the manufacturers do indeed have faith in their work. Were you one of the cool kids in elementary school or middle school or even high school who had access to markers that could change color? With years of experience and innovation, Parker’s commitment to quality has ensured that each pen delivers the best writing experience for when it matters most. When opened though, I feel like the grip section and the collar that connects the nib feels a little less thought through. The cap, clip, nib, and barrel are all made of stainless steel with chrome trim accents that highlight Parker’s attention to detail and focus on aesthetic design. Iconic details like the arrow clip and the hand-assembled, Ace-emblazoned nibs, are anchored in a heritage of craftsmanship, driven forward by the belief that writing with a finely crafted instrument can enhance and deepen your thoughts. The pen has a small grip section, which will work for you if you have especially small hands or if you’re used to working with a compact ballpoint pen or rollerball pens.
