About this deal

s 'Stanley Road' was a milestone moment in Weller's solo career, spawning classic hits 'The ChangingMan', 'You Do Something To Me' and 'Broken Stones'. By ticking the SMS opt in box and submitting this form, I agree to receive text messages from and about Paul Weller (including prerecorded and/or by autodialer). Having both been out of print for several years, they'll be available on heavyweight vinyl, packaged in the original release gatefold sleeve artwork with colour inner sleeves plus photos and lyrics.

Paul WELLER - Stanley Road (reissue) Vinyl at Juno Records.

Recorded at Hive Mind Studios in Brooklyn, NY, with the help of producer/arrangers Mike Buckley and Vincent Chiarito (both members of Charles Bradley's Extraordinaires) and crack team of a-list musicians, his upcoming album blends heavy arrangements and introspective lyrics with sophistication, leaving the listener in a blissful wash of wonderment. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. On the regular album "Porcelain Gods" is actually split in two with "I Walk On Gilded Splinters" sandwiched between it, therefore this 7" is the only way to get this original track in it's entirety. We carry a broad range of CDs and vinyl (7”/12” singles and LPs) and specialise in indie, alternative, rock, punk, metal plus a few other genres. Weller's classic 90s solo albums 'Stanley Road' and 'Heavy Soul' are being given a long-awaited reissue on remastered vinyl, out 24th February.Weller's cover version of the song " I Walk on Guilded Splinters" was featured in the series ending montage of The Wire's fourth series end, Final Grades. His full length debut on Daptone Records is equal parts raw feeling and elegance and exudes confidence and charm.

On 30 May 2005, a three-disc 10th anniversary deluxe edition of the album was released by Island Records.Ted Kessler, in his contemporary, May 1995 review for NME, felt that the album was "doggedly retro and straight ahead" – an "old fart rockin' blues record" in the style of Eric Clapton, though with "just enough edge to keep you tuned". The album's cover collage was created by the artist Peter Blake, designer of the Beatles' Sgt Pepper's album artwork.

Both the cover art (designed by Peter Blake) and the title are apparently inspired by the street in Woking (small town, England) on which he grew up, fact fans. Gatefold sleeve with inside loading includes glossy picture inner sleeve with lyrics on one side and glossy booklet titled 'Excerpts'.Evelyn McDonnell, in a July 1995 review for Rolling Stone, noted the collaborations with musicians such as Steve Winwood and Noel Gallagher, commenting that "Weller's work supplies the connecting link between several generations of British rock and soul", and that Weller's session band were able to lay down "some admirably funky grooves".
