I believe this design started with the PC360, then moved on to the GAME ONE, PC37X, and finally the PC38X. I'd rather no expense was spared on the headset itself rather than some box I'll leave to gather dust in a cupboard for a couple of years. The GAME ONE/PC37X succeeded in making such an amazing design more musical and engaging without sacrificing the strong competitive gaming aspects of its sound.

That impressive imaging and spacious sound works wonders while playing Hunt: Showdown, and it was as much a match for Elden Ring's atmospheric soundtrack and sudden sounds as it was Forza Horizon 5's banging tunes. One thing to note is that the cable comes with a L-shaped plug, which is not the most convenient when plugged into the controller, but it's not a big deal. Drop and Sennheiser has once again one upped their previous headset with even MORE musicality, particularly in the bass, where it has allowed the bass to reach even lower than before, as well as flattened out the bass to midrange. A short run keeps it from bunching up near the base of your chair and getting mowed over and destroyed, which I've never ever done, I assure you. An intimate, relaxed sound signature combines with outstanding precision and exceptional comfort — and now, extended sub bass — for a deeply moving experience.

The underside has two area of cushions, thicker and more spread across the headband than the HD6XX, covered in the same, newer fabric material as the earpads (as opposed to typical velour or leatherette).
