Beautiful inside and out, her story makes me realize why Psyche became the goddess of the human soul.

Percy Jackson speculates that the famous fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast is most likely based on the story of Psyche and Eros.Drawing from numerous old writings like the ARGONAUTICA by Apollonius of Rhodes and the acclaimed ILIAD by Homer, Riordan remains consistent with the occasions and underlying foundations of the myth.

With an ever-expanding cast of brave-hearted heroes and formidable foes, this second book in The Heroes of Olympus series offers all of the action, pathos, and humor that Rick Riordan fans crave. As Eros was still recovering, he told her mother what had really happened, much to Aphrodite's fury. Psyche later cleaned an altar of Hera, who thanked her but said that she couldn't protect her from Aphrodite.I was a bit dubious going into it considering I don't know a huge amount of Greek heroes, but the stories were told in such a funny and engaging way that it didn't really matter that I didn't know the heroes. The recorded incorrectness of these announcements is obvious, and subsequently not deluding or destructive. Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, Rick's first novel featuring the heroic young demigod, was the overall winner of the Red House Children's Book Award in 2006 and is now a blockbuster film franchise, starring Logan Lerman.

Percy's narrative was great once again, I got a good laugh of all the mentions of modern stuff thrown into the myths. We’re going back about four thousand years to decapitate monsters, save some kingdoms, shoot a few gods in the butt, raid the Underworld, and steal loot from evil people. As with the other companion book, this mostly focuses on the heroes we know from the Percy Jackson series.
