This series opens from the side of the book, so it is very atypical, but there are a lot of good facts about the animals in it. A herd of giant sauroposeidons, with their impossibly long necks, lumber across the sun-drenched plains. A decade ago, I remember my old boss Tim Chatman designing a paper flip book thing for a client of ours.The masking lines are vertical, because the image is attached to the book’s (vertical) spine and progressively turning the page further slides the image further and reveals the ‘next’ frames — eventually ‘looping’ back to the first frame (but moved five units leftward). Why just read about the way a cheetah can run up to 60mph when you can actually watch him running, too?

It is a great book to have in one's collection if you love the wild, untamed world and its creatures of all sizes. Not only is it instantly striking, it enhances the interview in a luxurious way that print cannot do. While working with some of the pioneers of holography, Dan created a special spotlight that was used by Soho's Museum of Holography to light holograms. Then as background image (with position:fixed and repeated both directions), I had on a white background interlaced the two words of a project name — on the ‘odd’ lines from the one (say “TRUTH”), on the ‘even’ from the other (say “JUSTICE”). She covers her experiences and includes a brief history of African safaris and the current state of African wildlife.

Audience: This book would have a wide appeal because even toddlers would enjoy looking at the images, but the text and information would be good for elementary students. Using Photicular technology, each image is like a 3-D movie on the page, delivering a rich, fluid visual experience.
