About this deal

When I initially started collecting lightsticks, Red Velvet’s Lightstick was one that I really wanted to add to my collection. From colors, lightsticks were born, thanks to BigBang, and it made it easier in multiple act shows for the audience to change and show their support as necessary. While they were originally sold exclusively at concerts for fans, today, fans can find some of the best Kpop lightsticks online. The Moomoobong lightstick vibrates and was actually designed with disabled fans with limited hearing and eyesight in mind.

As the most popular Kpop group coming out of Korea, their lightstick, or I should say lightsticks, are the most popular too.

The design from the first to the second lightstick changed so that the handle is black instead of white and the dome on top has a different ‘G’ design. However, I was recently working on a trends project for a company and realized just how vast the KPop lightstick phenom is. They have lightsticks from must about every group as well as KPop merch, KBeauty goods, and everything else you could want from Korea really. This lightstick can be paired with your seat at concerts or to your phone with Bluetooth and can produce any color since it has an RGBW LED. Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner so that you can ensure you are saving money!

Lightsticks now have Bluetooth capabilities, might be charging ports, and can by synced to live concerts. Each one is as unique as the K-Pop act it represents because it is, essentially, an extension of each artist’s personality. Member Jisoo was actually the one who named the lightstick, and “ Bbyongbong” wasn’t just chosen for its cute rhyme.

They are used to create dazzling “oceans” of colour, but they are more than just glorified glowsticks. For those people who grew up heading to concerts in concert halls or on outdoor lawns and watching their favorite musicians rock it out on a stage, a lightstick might be something new… or it will make you harken back to when people used to raise their lighters in the air. Thought the lightstick was invented by BigBang, they didn’t really become mainstream and popular until the second generation of Kpop. The lightstick has a white handle with a red and silver compass that moves and reads “You make Stray Kids stay”. It took four years for Red Velvet to get for their lightstick, but some of their labelmates have waited twice as long!

Since Golden Child’s bowling pin shaped lightstick is turned upside down to cheer, they decided to name it “ Runbong”.The Korean character “ㅇ” (transliterated as “ng”) is often added to the end of words as a slang way of making them sound cuter—hence the name, “Yeobong”. Now there’s also a third generation of the design with all being similar though their features have changed over the years.

These concert lightsticks are flimsier than official lightsticks, have limited light settings, and lack the personality that make official lightsticks such fantastic collectibles. wasnt sm pretty much built off of boa but they give her a fucking highlighter for a lightstick the disrespect smh https://t. The official Blackpink lightstick was released in 2018 and has two colors… you can guess what they are, right? Keep reading to find out what comes with the lightstick, my thoughts, and where you can pick up one for yourself.

Most groups follow a simple formula: the group or fandom name combined with “bong”, short for “ eungwonbong” (the Korean word for lightstick). When the lightstick was revealed, many fans thought the design looked like a dumpling—hence the name. BigBang was the group that took the idea of simple lightsticks and made them something fans needed to have. Some group’s lightsticks, however, have unusual names you just can’t figure out at first glance—here are 8 you’ve probably always wondered about. Named the Candy Bong and the Candy Bong Z, there are two versions of the TWICE lightstick which were based on their song ‘Candy Boy’.
