About this deal

How to use Rootgrow when sowing grass seed– We used Rootgrow when we wanted to re-seed a bank with grass – this is how we prepared the area and applied the Rootgrow. Most contain Rootgrow ™, the first and only product so far to be licenced by the Royal Horticultural Society. Use Empathy’s After Plant natural plant food, which combines mycorrhizal fungi and beneficial nutrients and microbes that help to release more nutrients in the soil over time.

Rootgrow Plantworks Ltd RG360 Empathy RHS Endorsed Rootgrow

rootgrow™ 360g contains mycorrhizal fungi which naturally increase nutrient and water uptake by forming a highly efficient secondary root system . Bonemeal is an organic slow release fertiliser which enriches the soil encouraging strong and healthy root growth. In poor sandy soils the mycorrhizal fungi will be able to find scarce nutrients and hold onto water. Mycorrhizal fungi is a living organism, essential to all plant root development, which enables plants to extract nutrients and absorb moisture more efficiently.Use gel when planting bare rooted plants (these are only available during the winter months, whilst dormant). The Leaky Hose is made from recycled material, creating a porous membrane that can be placed on the surface of the soil or up to 6 inches below. Supported by a science team embracing mycologists, bacteriologist and soil scientist we strive to bring the best of nature’s beneficial biology in support of all forms of ‘growing’. The primary beneficiaries of mycorrhizal fungi are woody plants, but other types of plant also benefit. rootgrow™ Professional (RGpro) contains pure mycorrhizal fungi packaged and supplied in large pack sizes for professional users or when larger planting projects are undertaken.

rootgrow™ 150g - Empathy

Empathy’s rootgrow™ Mycorrhizal Fungi is available as a granular additive which should be added to the planting hole when planting in both open soil and containers, ensure the roots of the plant come into contact with rootgrow, backfill and water as normal. It is therefore thought that mycorrhizas are crucial in gathering this element in uncultivated soils. For this reason it is best not to use phosphorous rich fertilisers in conjunction with mycorrhizal fungi.

For very small plants from the cell grown range (marked Cg) again the principle of getting the granules into contact with the roots is important. It is completely natural and plant-friendly fungi suitable for use on flowering plants, trees, shrubs and edibles.
