The top section can be rotated to point wherever you need it to, but there is no up or down movement. Unfortunately, the minifigure has no special feature, unless the colours of the 212th Attack Battalion. Accessories-wise, the battle droid comes with a blaster that is standard to many LEGO Star Wars Minifigures that come with guns. The front of the box depicts a lovely festive scene, with various Minifigures and micro builds gathering around a giant Christmas tree. There will be buildable elements inside, with the results including a Christmas train the pets can ride on and a Christmas tree which can be decorated by the two minifigures included, Leo and Autumn.
The translucent blue blade can also be removed in case you want him holding the lightsaber hilt only. Still, army builder Minifigures like this are always welcome, and it’s great that we get the Phase 1 Clone Trooper Commander here. The Sand Castle is a cheeky take on Darth Vader’s actual castle, which was featured in 75251 Darth Vader’s Castle.
Based on the design of a normal LEGO gonk droid, they have mainly covered this micro build in red pieces to give it a more Christmassy and festive look. Following on from yesterday’s excellent Republic Gunship, Day 2 gives us a Clone Trooper Commander minifigure, which features a Phase 1 Clone Trooper with yellow markings on his armour, hands and helmet. One detail that we really do like is how the white and gold studs placed behind the windshield are supposed to represent Luke Skywalker and C-3PO riding in the landspeeder. There are 11 of the 24 builds shown on the front of the box, meaning that there are still plenty of surprises waiting within. The Star Wars™ galaxy if full of spectacular worlds and with a little imagination you can recreate them in your own home!
The spaceship is shown in the movie as a toy with Luke playing with it and dreaming to become a pilot. Suffice it to say, it’s nice to get some other models of speeder in LEGO form – even if they are only micro builds!This minifigure is exclusive to the 2022 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, and features Darth Vader on summer vacation, wearing a summery tank top with a Death Star, and TIE Fighters across a tropical beach scene. Still a great inclusion to bolster your Clone Trooper army, or if you haven’t had this minifigure before, a nice bonus clone variant, and I’m glad to see Clones start playing a more prominent part in LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendars. We haven’t had an Advent Calendar Landspeeder since 2018, so it’s been a while but this microbuild sports a brand new design, and also a very clever Easter Egg (I think). I really like the Vacation Darth Vader’s torso, and while we don’t have a Santa-type character, our beloved droids do fill in the role of Winter-themed minifigs.
