However, there is a lot of information dumping and a lot of the authors own opinion, which doesn't seem to be backed up by science. Berry-Dee here puts himself so central in this book, never misses an opportunity to boast or try to be witty, and as a consequence ends up meandering and weakening the presentation of his subject.

The guy's clearly written a lot of books (if they're anywhere near as bad as this one I have no idea how he's the "no. Unfortunately, the only insight I really gained was into how the author regards himself since he talks about himself constantly, about how other people feel about him, and his relationships with notorious criminals, or celebrated figures in psychology or criminology.
