This is my second book by Caroline that I’ve read ( I read The Spa Break for a tour last year) and have thoroughly enjoyed both. they get up to some hilarious activities and it left me bewildered that Harold brought Nancy on the cruise knowing how badly she suffers from sea sickness! Every time I thought I will just read one more chapter and then get on with some chores it ended in a way that there was no way I could leave it there so I had to read another and then the same happened until I very sadly came to the last page and its absolutely fantastic ending. And there’s a wider cast of characters who really made the book for me – Bridgette (who readers may just have met before… what a treat! I liked that the author gave each of these women her own story, though Jane’s arc was the most dramatic, and I appreciated that she was able to truly find herself on her voyage. And Jane, after a career behind the scenes in the world of celebrity cookery, remains resolutely single – overweight, lacking in confidence, and convinced that she’ll remain that way. I have never been on a cruise but this book has made me want to go on one after the author has described so well the wonderful places in the Caribbean that the trio visited.Your book is a page turning laugh out loud and soul lifting success and I cannot wait to get stuck into more of your books! The story is an excellent portrayal of friendship, adventure, and love that will undoubtedly leave you feeling fulfilled. This was a feel-good read, which I couldn’t put down and one I would highly recommend to anyone for a great escapism. A thoroughly enjoyable read that takes you from the loneliness of single life in the wet UK through to the magic of the Caribbean. Because you’re suddenly quite certain there’s a postcard of Liberty Hall on your fridge with Sam’s newest address.

It is one of those books that I just could not put down and I ended up walking around with my kindle glued to my hands. Each and every one of the characters are strong and realistic and thanks to Caroline's evocative writing skills they all came to life, jumping of the pages and sucking me deep into their lives.Leaving behind the heartache, guilt and disappointment of their real lives, three friends decide that now they’re in their sixties, it’s time they finally did something for themselves! The operating table had been draped in protective material designed to collect any leaking fluids or stray bits of flesh, and the lighting had been adjusted to illuminate the field with no confusing shadows. I was absolutely sucked in from the first to the last page of this laugh out loud feel good page turner. It is hardly surprising that Caroline James is a best-selling author as this book had me in stitches. Each finds what they were looking for and more on their cruise, and I really enjoyed their discovery of themselves and friendship that never dies.
