About this deal

I swears every time I read her name all I could think of was crazy Ramona from Real Housewives and I wanted to reach through my kindle and throttle her. Looking more into how she does her writing, it is clearly evident that her characters definitely come first during her writing. I like that it's addressed that it isn't very healthy, but some of the ways it was handled bothered me. There are fabulous stand-alone set pieces, engaging characters, glorious prose and a soul-stirring look into the various lives of human.

How this situation was handled really frustrated me, especially given how the author tried to handle other sensitive topics with care but completely ignored this. One of the best parts about this book is that even with some of the more serious things going on in Logan’s life, it still made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion. Unfortunately before Logan realizes just how perfect Grace is for him he manages to fuck things up so perfectly there may be no fixing it. He is honest, and mans up to wronging her, and he continues to be honest with her, even when a lie would be easier. The cover is perfect to depict Logan so I am not even going to waste my time on Pinterest looking for him .She is fortunate to have parents who each in their way gave her the foundation to be who she is and have their support. Like I mentioned earlier, the college setting snafu and Grace’s naiveté annoyed me so much and even though she made Logan grovel, there was nothing else about her that stood out. I've buddyread this book with my pretty sis Bea who by the way, just celebrated her birthday yesterday.

Oh, and every time I smoke it I end up thinking about this Power Point presentation my dad forced me to watch when I was thirteen. But behind his cocky attitude, smart ass comments and man whoring ways is hidden a young man who’s hurting. Less than a week ago I was bemoaning the lack of excitement in my life, and now look at me – sexy hockey players showing up at my door to excite the hell out of me. So when one night trying to forget about his messed of life he meets Grace, he’s surprised how he can’t push her out of his mind. They have caused her distress and she is thinking maybe this roommate thing with her childhood friend is not the best. Either Grace should have been supportive and understanding from the start (which is how her character is portrayed with almost every other situation, and how she should be if she wants a career in therapy), or Grace and Logan should have talked about it after, with no apologies necessary (unless Grace wanted to apologize for blowing up at him while he was clearly in a horrible place, because that apology would make sense). This is the day that he’s meant to be going on a date with Grace and he has worried that Grace is going to be really upset because he has shown up late. Elle Kennedy combined great characters and friendships, laughter and sex in the most appealing way and I have to admit that suddenly hockey became my favorite sport!

Grace LITERALLY gives him a list of tasks to perform before she takes him back, including writing her a poem, taking boudoir photos on a red velvet chase, and having a professional hockey star do an infomercial for why he (Logan) makes a great boyfriend. I applaud them for their bravery, because the weather outside is frigid and the front door has been opening and closing all night, causing cold air to circulate through the house. And he’s using all of those readily available distractions to forget what’s awaiting him after college. I popped the ear buds in with the intention of drowning out the sounds of Garrett and Hannah in the other room, but I still haven’t pressed play. Lies, lies and more lies, because in every one of those instances, the truth is a total bummer, and the last thing I want is for my friends and teammates to feel sorry for me. When they meet, they discover they are pretty good together – they have fun, the normal and the sexy type too and Grace cannot believe her luck. why cant we just have a book where the main guy or girl gets tired of the bullshit and moves on to someone else?
