Description

Alice is determined to prove that she can make her own decisions in life even if that means staying in picturesque Greece.

Sometimes I got a little annoyed with the main character, because on the one hand I thought that she was a lttle naive - but other times I thought that she was a little psycho. These are questions that even the most attentive reader might ask while reading this latest book by Sue Watson. After an altercation Alice who suffers from PTSD and blackouts finds out she is accused of the unthinkable.

Dealing with an extremely nervous vicar along with his somewhat nymphomaniac wife, Stella feels that she is at a loose end with it all. His family seem a little off and he shuts down when I ask him about his past - but we've all go skeletons in the closet, right?

After an alleged altercation involving her ex-husband and his new girlfriend she decides she needs time away even though she is being investigated for what happened that night. From fast friendships, courtships, and many glasses of wine, Alice is thrown into a world that is both alluring and terrifying. This would clearly display her versatility as an author, allowing her to reach an even wider audience, with readers far and wide singing her many praises. Although the novel was fairly straightforward (no long build up or lengthy descriptions) it still felt too long. Thank you to Netgalley and Bookoture for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review. The book has tension throughout but after the wedding day, the tension amplified as did the sense of unease. I thought I had guessed the crux of the story but it turns out I was miles away in certain things and I LOVED that, a real surprise ending is always a great bonus to a fantatsic read….

uk and the author Sue Watson for an advanced copy of 'The Wedding Day' due to be released in May in exchange for an honest review. Born in Manchester in the United Kingdom, Sue Watson was always interested in storytelling, showing a clear passion for literature from an early age. She makes a new friend, Sylvie and falls in love with Nik who has a questionable cousin Dimitris who makes her feel uneasy every time he is around. No progress seemed to be made on any of the plot strands and I thought the scenarios repeated unnecessarily.

In this town there are women who have disappeared and Alice has become somewhat obsessed with the posters she sees of the missing women. We then have her flourishing relationships with Sylvie and Nik set against her growing worry over jealous Angelica. Hey you put a gun to my head I couldn’t of gased the ending and I always look for great endings and wow when I say this was great I almost want to invent a new word that means great tenfold because this book was awesome from beginning to end it is a book you have to make time to read and trust me you will not want to put it down I absolutely love this book so good! It's just so hard, to put any of her books down and you think, you miss something (and you mostlikely will ! Tension builds as Alice becomes fixated on Nik’s cousin being responsible for killing women while police edge closer to finding Alice herself. Alice’s life is a bit if a mess, she has recently broken up with her husband and is also carrying the weight of not being able to conceive, something she desperately wanted with Dan. Nik owns a bountiful vineyard and it does not take Alice long to imagine being married to Nik at the vineyard and living an entirely new life.
