About this deal

everybody might have been able to surf and sunbathe in peace, instead of being asked to evacuate the beach. Perhaps it's a bit too quick or easy in some places and I imagine it might not be the story that really sticks with you. Though this is a tale about fairies it's not a fairytale in the conventional sense; while there are traditional elements this is essentially an adventure story involving young Asa Brown attempting to solve a centuries-old conundrum, and what he did after he found the answer. There are passages in the book which describe cruelty towards the sprites which I would be wary of reading to younger children, which is to say that this book has some depth to it. It's not often the panel of experts at Booksfc review books that are classics, or even 'instant classics'.

Asa is a cool little character; he's intent on uncovering the mystery surrounding Windvale Moor but, unlike his predecessor Benjamin Tooth, he's considerate and kind when it comes to the fairie inhabitants. But amongst the debris in his back garden Asa makes an astounding discovery -- the body of a small winged creature.I think you should read this book because from the first page you read you become gripped - what happens next is all you can think about. There are a couple of weak parts and I wish, on a personal level, that he had been more flattering in his portrayal of librarians but these are really minor issues in what is otherwise an engaging story full of magic and adventure. When a storm sweeps through the country, Asa wakes up the next day to find that his town is almost unrecognisable - trees have fallen down, roofs have collapsed and debris lies everywhere. From Nobel Laureates Samuel Beckett and Harold Pinter to theatre greats Tom Stoppard and Alan Bennett to rising stars Polly Stenham and Florian Zeller, Faber Drama presents the very best theatre has to offer. Because of his care and compassion, he's able to befriend the sprites and get a better understanding of them, rather than run away in fear or try to hurt them.A companion volume to The Windvale Sprites, The Lost Journals will be published with an exciting treasure hunt campaign to find Benjamin Tooth’s lost statue.

Does time warp and change when you stray into their realms, or are there taboos which you must not contravene? Then he gets himself locked inside the trunk and looks through it until he finds out that the sprites live in the Windvale Moor. I'd like to read any other children's books he's written: they can definitely be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. The story starts when the very ordinary Asa Brown discovers something very extraordinary floating in his duckpond.

This book is a lovely, light-hearted read that I am certain children of many ages would really enjoy.
