Because the book was originally published in 2003, some of the temporal references may seem slightly dated. It did take a little while to get everyone straight, but once I figured out who was who, it was easy enough to follow along. Not that a great deal, back stories of the characters, their thoughts, doesn't happen in alternating chapters, so it depends on how interesting you find their stories. They know what their husbands and boyfriends are like in bed and they swap all kinds of personal details. I really liked the story and the audio performance though it was sometimes difficult to initially identify when the story was transitioning. Something bad happened at a certain time/place and the reader must follow the wibbly wobbly timey wimey until said something bad is revealed.EWS recently signed an overall co-production deal with Jenny Daly’s T-Group Productions, which will serve as the production entity for EWS including their five-picture commitment with People magazine at Freeform for a slate of true story movies under the banner People Presents.
