The character index at the beginning of the book, a staple with any Jack Ryan Thriller, was key and I referenced it multiple times. It took him a few years, but in 1980 he purchased said agency, and while still working there, he started writing books in his spare time. So, this is the last book of this series, this whole series is consisting 22 book and the last book is finally out that will sum up the whole series.

This is the 30th book, but considering Alex has survived "Kill Alex Cross" before, chances are he survives this one. Two puzzles, worlds apart - Tom Clancy Red Winter delivers the action and mystery so familiar to fans of the Jack Ryan series. One reviewer made an excellent point when he said Jack already showed his bona fides in Patriot Games and no one should be treating him like the new kid in this book.And while Cameron's short, pacey chapters depart from Clancy's sometimes lengthy ones, they serve the story he's telling here and make this a solid read. Roughly fits with a reference to the Princess of Wales's first child being a boy and a few months old, since Prince William was born in 1982. It was a fun book, and I loved having another young Ryanverse novel—as if some secret file of his had just been uncovered.
