Entsprechend stellte sich mir als erstes die Frage, ob ich den Ultimate Spider-Man wirklich lesen wolle. Not a big Spidey fan, but I have loved a lot of Bendis's stuff(Torso, Daredevil, Powers) in the past so I gave this a shot. The biggest failure, however, is that Miles continues to be a character without depth or much character.

Bendis puts parker in somewhat more believable settings and circumstances for a 15 year old high school kid. Only difference is this time around instead of all that taking place in one issue it’s all spread out into a 7 issue intro arc. For what Bendis does do, he does right, but he falls short of so much especially for his run being this long. Peter Parker is a mega dork who constantly screws up while meaning well, and that's what makes him one of the greatest superheroes of all time. Bednis shows a true masterclass with the writing too, as it all feels engaging and even issues where it’s just characters conversing it still feels like a satisfying read and is important to move the plot forward.Which, speaking of Kraven, he got the most build up out of any villain in the entire comic but he’s just a pushover show host?
