Although I don't care for this series, I'd recommend sticking with the original Walter the Farting Dog (if you must). Spending at least 75 weeks on The New York Times Best Seller List, Walter the Farting Dog is a delightful children’s book with a title that elicits giggles that continue throughout the book… On its surface, this story may seem to have very little redeeming social value except to be an entertaining book to read to or with your kids (or someone else’s).

So, when I found out that William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray were creating more books for the “Walter the Farting Dog” series, I just had to check these books out and I finally checked out the second book in this series at last! The police try to arrest him for the bank robbery, but the kids know Walter could never have done such a thing. Parents should tell their children that while it is natural for people to pass gas, it is not polite to do so abruptly for the fun of it since it would be extremely rude to other people. Collaborators Kotzwinkle and Servello have again brought out the best in each other in this collection of stories, some of which were available in a previous edition.He's so busy lighting up his celebratory Havana cigar that he doesn't notice he's standing next to a left-over fart balloon. Maybe he reminds me of my past and present stinky dogs, maybe he reminds me of a few family members, but I am not ashamed to say I love Walter the Farting Dog and all his adventures. It is unlikely that these extra digestive enzymes would help a pet in the absence of actual exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.
