In addition to its normal Impact Hits when charging, the Deathroller inflicts D6 Impact Hits at the start of each close combat round. The second element is the Book of Grudges, which, in a nutshell, is a list of insults/injuries suffered at the hands of other factions (assassinations, trespassing, conquest or razing, running afoul of a script trigger. If a model is permitted to take a runic weapon, he may choose weapon runes from the following list and apply them to his hand weapon. A standard bearing a Rune of Sanctuary confers the Magic Resistance (1) special rule to the bearer's unit.

However, a model carrying a magic standard can only carry other magic items up to a total 25 points. Unless otherwise noted, runes can be inscribed onto the following things: weapons, armour, talismans, standards, and war machines. According to Dwarf legends and traditions, these first Dwarfs were carved by time from the rocks of the mountains, birthed by stone itself.

Starting with the 4th edition rules, individual Army books were published for various races and realms of the Warhammer world that had coinciding miniatures armies to play the Warhammer Fantasy Battles tabletop game. Regiments of Renown, Rangers, and alternative artillery options help compensate for that, but the Dwarfs' low mass still allows enemy chariots and beasts to plow right through them.
