A colourful cast of characters is a staple of all the west Anderson films, so why are they excluded from all but maybe 30 out of close to 200 photographs. They shirk responsibility to maintain some warped sense of independence, but they soon realize that they are stronger with others, that they are better off when they are happy, and that the very thing that tortures them also grants them their unique spirit.

Anderson has acknowledged that he went to India to film the movie partly as a tribute to Indian filmmaker Satyajit Ray, whose "films have also inspired all my other movies in different ways" (the film is dedicated to him). This is so much more than a photography book, as there are fascinating descriptions connected to each location.if you want an easy and fun to read book about a person and learning about them and what they did special enough to have a book written about them? Ian Nathan is the popular, London-based author of Anything You Can Imagine: Peter Jackson and the Making of Middle-earth, The Coen Brothers: The Filmmakers and their Films, Alien Vault, Terminator Vault, and many other books, many of which have really long titles. But then Anderson cuts to an insert shot of Royal (Gene Hackman) reading the actual letter, which confirms the information we've just learned.

Later, he finds out that his love interest and his friend are having an affair, which prompts him to begin a vendetta. We are treated to a lot of historicist and representative architecture, but mostly it IS just lighthouses and viewfinders. Max turns to the father (Bill Murray) of two of his schoolmates for advice on how to woo the teacher. Alpers argues, that the museum’s process of presentation of cultural artefacts makes them into pieces of art, in the way that our way of looking at them changes. There are sad-happy stories, and happy-sad stories with families and friendships, and eccentric characters, and passages that you will have to read a few times just so you can think about them later.

Wes Anderson has won fewer awards than one might think, but he has been nominated for many and watched as his team took home wins, which in my opinion makes it even more important to study his films. Many of his scenes contain long tracking shots with rapid-fire action, almost as if characters moving through scenes are the little steel marbles. Cool layout aside, I love Nathan’s passion for the auteur and his excitement to dig deep into the characters, plot, themes, and even actors in Anderson’s films. One of the really unique things about Wes Anderson and his style comes from the fact that we even noticehis fonts. Other elements of his films seem to be made from scratch as well, like his costumes and production design.A love letter to journalists set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional 20th-century French city that brings to life a collection of stories published in "The French Dispatch.
