Back in 2018 we tested PLA on Yorkshire Gold, thought we'd got the hang of it, rolled it out across loads more of the range – and then had a total disaster. However, PLA is made from renewable materials instead of fossil fuels and it can be industrially composted instead of going to landfill or incineration. Products likely to be impacted by this higher rate parcel send are: boxes of paper, multiple quantities of water, desk stands or furniture and volume packs of cleaning supplies. Our range of cleaning and hygiene supplies feature everything that is essential for catering and cleaning.We want our environmental impact to be positive - and part of this is making our packaging as recyclable, reusable and compostable as possible. Extremely hard tannin is present and it is harsh, and yes I have tried their tea for hard water and it was truly terrible too. Traditionally this plastic has been oil-based (polypropylene) and our new tea bags use plant-based plastic instead (PLA).

Individually wrapped tea bags come enclosed in their own envelope (hence the name envelope tea bags) and sealed for the ultimate in freshness.
