This is one of the most creative adaptations of Cinderella I have ever read -- and despite its whimsy, big font, and easy-ish language, one of the darkest I've ever read, too!These are not at all the fairy tales you know so well, you can find The Monstrous Duckling, Jack and the Flesh-Eating Beanstalk. In 2005, Messer Chups became a duo consisting of Gitarkin and Svetlana "Zombierella" Nagaeva on bass. My only complaint really is that I wish the illustrations had been as beautiful as the cover, complete with vibrant colours and full pages.

Following on from Zombierella and Frankenstiltskin, this is the third and final book in a deliciously dark trilogy of twisted classics, written in verse by award-winning poet Joseph Coelho. It's an MG novel in verse and I raced through it with total delight because it was so gleefully fun (even when it was, very intentionally, gross - this is the kind of book that some sensitive kids won't be able to handle while others will lap it all up with a spoon). A yellow moon hangs in a satin sky the night Cinderella, barefoot and in hand-me-downs, slips at the top of the stairs … and dies .

Does the book contain anything that teachers would wish to know about before recommending in class (strong language, sensitive topics etc. Entre sus páginas podemos encontrar el clásico escrito en prosa poética acompañado de unas ilustraciones en blanco y negro maravillosas y tétricas a partes iguales, que además incluyen muchos detalles en ellas, así que vale la pena detenerse a observarlas bien.
