Garmin zumo XT2 is the latest Garmin motorbike sat nav from Garmin and features an impressive 6-inch crisp HD resolution display which can be viewed in portrait or landscape orientation. Hooking your zūmo XT2 up to the Tread smartphone app will allow you to see Ride Summaries, with full details of your ride for analysis. I have my replacement and it appears to be working OK but only done a couple of short rides with it so far. Garmin zumo XT2 6-inch Motorcycle Sat Nav On-Road and Off

Whether it’s simply down to the colour palette used, the XT2’s mapping looks clearer and better defined than the older model when viewed side-by-side, with a backlight that appears to be brighter and more white. complete with ALL tags in place, helmet bag, manual, protective plastic on visor and any other associated parts supplied. It’s a great way to find somewhere to stop, and with a little use becomes a much-appreciated feature of the Garmin, if not something you can’t do with your phone. I love the 6” screen, the images are crisp and clear and the absolute best thing about the XT2 has got to be that you can use the device whilst wearing your motorbike gloves, that makes a huge difference to using a sat nav whilst riding. If then also simply tracks can be edited, shortened or extended and then several can be merged, a mobile app does not come along.

It’s well worth spending some quiet time with the Garmin to get used to all the features, many of which are quite buried away (though easy to access once you know where to look). Main road exits are also illustrated with a pop-up on the right, which makes it really clear what lane to use.
