Description

As a Leader Line– Fluorocarbon excels at being used as a leader line for both spinning and casting applications. Many pros and weekend anglers alike have adopter the practice of spooling their reels with braid and attaching a 3-10ft leader. You gain the strength, durability, and castability of braid, with the invisibility of a fluorocarbon leader. Learn to tie good connection knots and go fish. This is a real game changer once you have confidence in it. P-line Floroclear is a fluorocarbon-coated monofilament line. This is done to try and decrease the visibility of the line. In practice though, it does not change the index of refraction of the monofilament line so very likely has similar properties to standard monofilament lines. I do not like to use fluorocarbon-coated lines. Fluorocarbon Line Visibility Comments:This line is surprisingly tough bought the 6lb & I landed multiple 3 to 4lb bass without any flouro complications great knot strength good cast ability & fair abrasion resistance for the pound test I was throwing really impressed keep up the good work There are other fluorocarbon fishing lines that perform equally well, but cost more or offer different specialties. I’ve included them in the list, with each earning a top spot of their own. Here are the 15 Best Fluorocarbon Lines:

This line is more abrasion-resistant, so it’s less likely to break on rough surfaces. Additionally, its higher breaking strength means that you can land bigger fish. Seaguar Red Label is also less visible in water than other types of fishing lines. This can be a big advantage when you are trying to fish in clear water conditions, or when you want to keep your line as hidden as possible from fish. Comments:Absolute worst line I have ever tried to use. Not sure if it was just a bad batch, but the memory on this line before ever spooling it on was crazy. I spooled it onto a spinning reel and before I could even thread the line through the last of the guides the line was jumping off the reel spool and the bail was closed. Trashed it and used another brand I have used previously. Total waste of money. May try to use it as a leader, but not on anymore reels. Both Seaguar Red Label and Invizx are durable fishing lines that can handle a lot of wear and tear. They both also have a low memory, which means that they will not kink or curl up easily. This makes them both good choices for anglers who are looking for a line that is easy to use. There’s a reason Seaguar Red Label has become one of the most popular mainline fluorocarbon products on the market – it simply offers great value for money. It’s a good all-around line that will serve you well in most situations.

I’ve been using this line for a little over a year now and have been pretty impressed with the quality. As long as you tie the right knot and lubricate it (water, spit, line lube), you should have no issues with it coming apart. Available in pound tests ranging from 4 to 20 pound. Available in both filler spool and bulk spool sizes. Line Diameter Comments:i use the red label in 17lb on my swimbait rod and it holds up very well, chunking 3-5oz hudds, rago skt swimmers and savage line thru and hav. Caught 7 fish over 12 lbs last year biggest being 13.60 and i horsed them in, great product and has never failed me will be using this line for years to come. Comments:I first used Red Label a couple years ago when I had no idea or had any knowledge of different applications for different lines. I cant remember having a problem with it then. I spooled up in April with this stuff and used it once on a combo and havent touched the combo since.Took it out today and this line performed flawlessly. Over 6 months hold and this line was casting a 1/4 oz. Trap a country mile on my Lews LFS. I will be buying Red Label again!Comments: The more I use this line the less I want to buy anything else. The 15lb is great! the 12lb is great! the 20lb. great! This stuff is just too smooth & strong to ignore. it is super strong & reliable & I must say this line has 100% of my confidence. This is a very good line. The sensitive is out standing. ItemImage" : "https://assets.basspro.com/image/list/fn_select:jq:first(.%5B%5D%7Cselect(.public_id%20%7C%20endswith(%22main%22)))/1557327.json", Seaguar Premier has the thinnest line diameter of any fluorocarbon leader. This is a big advantage because it will be less visible underwater for a given pound test. At low pound test values, the difference is not large. For example, Ande 20-pound has a diameter of 0.40 mm while 20-pound Seaguar Premier has a diameter of 0.37 mm. For a higher pound test, the difference becomes quite significant. For instance, 80-pound Ande has a diameter of 1.00 mm while 80-pound Seaguar Premier has a diameter of 0.78 mm.

Comments:Best line yet in 55 years of fishing.inexpensive, strong, casts well and knots hold just great.i doubt I'll be switching any time soon! Seaguar Blue Label is a widely used fluorocarbon leader. Its line diameter is smaller than most other fluorocarbon lines. The Seaguar Premier does have thinner line diameters. For this reason that is typically the better line to use as it will be less visible to the fish. If abrasion resistance is important the blue label with a larger diameter is likely more abrasion-resistant. Seaguar Premier Fluorocarbon Leader Fluoro I want to change my line pretty often, but I also believe when I use Tatsu, I can get a lot more uses out of it before I start having issues. That’s why I’m such a big fan. Same with InvizX only slightly more often with InvizX than with Tatsu. By micrometer measurement I find they are almost exactly the same diameter: Seaguar Red Label 6lb bs = .188mm dia, SoftPlus 8.2lb bs = .191mm dia. just 0.003mm difference.

Today, Seaguar offers an impressive line-up of fluorocarbon fishing mainlines and leaders, with designs covering both freshwater and saltwater fisheries and a wide range of species, from tiny panfish all the way up to big game predators like muskie and blue fin tuna. But with such an impressive and diverse line-up, sometimes even experienced anglers can have difficulty figuring out which line is best for them. In this line guide we breakdown the various fluorocarbon products Seaguar manufactures and their optimal use and applications. Fluorocarbon Mainline ItemImage" : "https://assets.basspro.com/image/list/fn_select:jq:first(.%5B%5D%7Cselect(.public_id%20%7C%20endswith(%22main%22)))/1557326.json", That basically covers Seaguar Basix and where I like to fish it and where it fits into my own personal rotation of Seaguar Fluorocarbon lines. I think it’s worth the money for certain applications and if you swap your line regularly. Find Seaguar Basix at these online retailers:

Strength - While both are strong and will withstand the lb test listed, leader and tippet are stronger over shorter lengths and are not designed to be a long, main line product. The main lines are designed to take the impact load over a much longer distance, transferred throughout the line. Comments:This line is great, I don't see why anyone would use any other Fluro. I switched from the expensive Sunline Sniper to red label and notice 0 difference for a fraction of the price.
