There are primarily two different positions for ports to be made in a speaker, in the rear, and in the front. I remember using the M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 speakers a few years ago, a pair of rear-ported speakers. At times the monitors seemed a bit too saturated with bass. Producing Workstation'' very nicely, doesn't get dirty at all, no finger prints or anything of the sorts, easy to maintain. ( though i can imagine the holes for bass get dusty after a long time )You can remedy sonic integrity anomalies, or just make them sound balanced according to your taste. Sure, they’re never going to compete with the big speakers found in professional music studios; however, if you’re looking to get off your headphones and onto monitors, look no further than these KRK Rokit 5’s.
