Exactly what I’ve been looking for! Great idea for bike storage, that looks like it takes up no more room than the bike itself! An often overlooked feature of bike covers is ventilation. It might seem like a good idea to seal your bike as tightly as possible, but condensation can wreak havoc over time. Moisture build-up causes rust, and if you leave your bike sealed up for long periods you might get an unpleasant surprise when you go for a ride. Look for covers with at least some ventilation flaps/valves to let condensation escape. Because of the cover’s bulk and weight, I’d be less inclined to lug it around when commuting. There are covers more suited to this purpose, and Storm Skin doesn't claim it to be a portable protection option. It's not really designed to be a travel cover either, so think more of it as bike protection for long-term use at home. Looks great and great coverage of the whole bike. Most covers say they are waterproof but are not great so this will be handy. I’d use it on my 2008 Specialized hybrid. It’s been a proper workhorse on my commute over the last 13 years and frankly it deserves a little TLC Ooooo… my almost brand new Oxford Bike Works tourer. The time has come to leave it’s very own room indoors, definitely a rite of passage! It’s especially important to use a cover if you store your bike outside. If you live in the city, you’ve likely seen those poor bikes chained outside battling the elements ( and losing.) Even indoors, a cover reduces the possibility of grease and grime showing up on walls and floors.
