Description

The Neo QLED QN95A ran the OLED pretty close, but it laps this traditional QLED. The QLED Q80A falls into the common trap of being too dark, but while the two models above stumble into gloom, the Q80A falls headfirst into it. Samsung Health: turn your home into a personal gym with the Samsung Health app, letting you enjoy classes, wellness routines and family challenges.

With Q-Symphony, this TV synchronises perfectly with select Samsung soundbars (available separately) for a supreme audio visual experience. Samsung has fitted its Neo Quantum Processor 4K to take care of business here. It’s got an AI element to its specification, which is mostly used to help the scream upscale sub-4K content as efficiently and convincingly as possible. But obviously it’s just as concerned with making native 4K content look its best and exploit any HDR aspect it might have – although not Dolby Vision HDR, oh my goodness no. The QE55QN95BATXXU is fun for all the family. With four HDMI and three USB ports, you can link up your favourite devices to make use of the QLED 4K screen. You can also stream straight from a PC to enjoy your games night on the big screen. Or, if you prefer to connect wirelessly, you can use Bluetooth technology. If you’d rather leave it sat on a piece of furniture, it ships with a pleasingly heavy duty, centrally mounted metallic plate stand. Note, though, that fitting this stand is a fiddly business involving lots of screws and even more heart-in-mouth carefulness.

Percentage luminance drop at 20 degree vertical angle from the centre of the screen with 100% white output The Game mode gets input lag down to just 10.4ms, too - an excellent result. Though handily Samsung has provided options - accessible from a helpful new Game Dashboard shortcut menu - for adding a little more input lag in return for a little motion processing with games that aren’t so dependent on response times. This screen has four times the number of pixels than Full HD TVs, delivering stunning realism, natural motion and incredible detail. High Dynamic Range expands light, dark, and every colour in between for a picture that's closer to real life. With Quantum HDR 2000 powered by HDR10+, the supreme brightness levels of QLED technology enable you to experience the full potential of HDR. This is the best 4K 55-inch set you can get from Samsung. Does it mean it’s one of the finest screens of 2022 too? Design

The Mini LED light source is further enhanced with the addition of 14-bit HDR Mapping (which adds even more details to dark and bright scenes), while the Quantum Matrix Technology (which controls the Mini LEDs) is made even more accurate with Shape Adaptive Light control.

Smooth Visuals when Gaming

The QN95B achieves this without looking overly processed, and despite jagged edges and soft edges, noise isn’t as big a factor as I would have expected. That said, you wouldn’t want to watch much SD content on this TV – you’re better off with HD and higher. A few years ago Samsung debuted The Wall. This is an enormous 219-inch TV made up of several modular displays that can be arranged in different configurations. Max light output HDR (high dynamic range) while displaying a live scene and white square taking up 10% of the screen (measured in Nits) It’s not all perfect, mind you. Left on its default settings, the Q95T’s HDR picture is overbright compared with our reference standard. This can be dialled down by lowering the TV’s contrast value to around 40, after which the panel retains all specular highlight detail, even on HDR content mastered to 4,000cd/m2. And if you switch local dimming settings to ‘high’ (a new feature for 2020 QLEDs) the overbright effects of the Q95T’s dynamic tone mapping can be minimised.
