Although manufacturers are taking steps to make keyless-entry vehicles more secure, many models remain vulnerable to technically adept thieves. It also has a handy lip on the flap, so it is easier to pull open. Car thieves are using specialist signal-boosting devices to amplify the proximity signal of a fob that is inside a property.

At a push we squeezed in a key and a phone, but the Velcro section along the flap wasn’t full width and protection was a bit hit and miss as a result. Relay theft has been around for a couple of years now and car makers have got wise to crooks. Some car companies now make keys that don’t emit a signal unless they’re moving, or after they’ve been stationary for a short period of time. Other’s make keys that can be turned off if they’re not needed. Ecoprod Technique Registered office 33-35 Portugal Road, Woking, Surrey, GU21 5JE, Registered in UK

It actually works. I just got my brand new disabled car - I use it when i go shopping because you don't No who is hanging around (I have one for my purse too) and i tried and tested it. Only comment is that it is only just big enough to take one fob and the attached key ring. Accepting it is a ‘mini’ a little more give would be useful, I don’t think my fob is unusually large. We like the smart carbon fibre-effect construction and the extra front section, which was useful but wasn’t protected. Large enough to hold multiple fobs and highly durable. Ideal or keeping around the house and carrying on your person.

I bought two of these pouches and for the price i wasn't expecting much. I have a car and a motorbike that both has fobs so i placed the two fobs in each pouch and stood right against the car then the bike. Neither the car or the bike would activate so I am very pleased with them and recommend them if you have a fob activated car or motorbike and you want to keep it safe...... peter white. The Velcro strip extends completely across the bag, which should seal it completely, but although it worked well with the remote key, it failed to prevent both the Bluetooth and WiFi signals getting in, which is a shame. Fast delivery from EV and best price I could find on the internet. Put my key fob in it, placed it on the centre console in the car and it worked brilliantly. No signal and the car would not start. We like the bag’s general build and tough feel, and it took either of our phones and a key with a little effort, but it wasn’t elegant.
