Next action is to connect the fans to your motherboard. In my case I have the nzxt controller so I just linked the fans to the splitters linked to the controller. The other choice is to link the cable television provided to the motherboard and then connect the fans to the fan splitters. If you do this then I don’t believe you can manage the RGB lights as they require to go through the controller. Our Kraken X3 (X53, X63, and X73) Series of coolers are easy to install! Please refer to the embedded video below for how to install your cooler. We also have a handy manual you can review here. First off installation is a little a trouble with this due to the additional connections that the little screen needs. For some this may end up being a dealbreaker because of the fact that it might not fit in some smaller sized type factor builds or even a Mid-tower ATX develop with all the RAM slots inhabited. In tests, the Kraken X73 performed admirably. The Ryzen 9 3900X was set to its default settings. The pump was set to 100% and fans to 50%. At idle, the processor temperature hovered around 30C (86F). Gaming brought us up to an average of 56C (133F). Finally, a stress test saw temperatures settle at 65C (149F), running for around 15 minutes. Thermal performance is the most important part of any AIO liquid cooler and the main reason why you want to buy an AIO in the first place.

Kraken X73 | Infinity Screen CPU Cooler | Gaming PCs | NZXT

This AIO Cooler was incredibly simple to set up. This was the first PC I’ve built and I truly wanted to go for it with the RGB. I enjoyed that this cooler could support a custom-made GIF image and NEEDED it. It works really well at keeping my Ryzen 3900x cooled and looks excellent in my glass front case. I changed out the two fans that began the radiator with Corsair RGB fans so they matched the rest of my case. The 2 fan radiator variation fit perfectly in the NZXT H710i case I got. Total 10/10 extremely pleased with this item. I switched out the 2 fans that came on the radiator with Corsair RGB fans so they matched the rest of my case. The first fan requires to be linked directly to your controller unless you currently have RGB fans then it’s just a case of daisy chaining them all together. Another noticeable difference between the two types of fans is the speed range, The original Aer P 120mm fans offer a range of 500-2000 RPM while the new Aer RGB 2 120mm units speed range is reduced to 500-1500 RPM. The new Aer RGB 120mm fan also features 2 more blades and a sharper blade angle compared with the Aer P, so it will be interesting to see how these changes of blade design and rotational speed affect thermal performance. The NZXT Kraken X73 and Z73 have a very similar configuration. In fact, it is too similar that you can assume that both liquid coolers perform identically also. However, that is not the case. At idle with an ambient temperature of 22 degrees, the Kraken X73 performs a little worse and scored 12 degrees Celsius. When the processor is subjected to a load in the same ambient temperature, the X73 records 46 degrees Celsius in temperature.

This AIO cooler is a stunning thing on the computer, efficiency (cooling sensible) is nothing out of this world, it carries out similar to any other 360mm AIO out there, the pump is silent but the fans have to start harder when a Ryzen 9 3950X heats up a bit. The only real advantage for this cooler over others is the very nice screen on the pump, likewise, the setup is quite easy. Even though Z73 and X73 share so many characteristics, their cooling performance is another story entirely. At idle, the Z73 maintained a whole degree (11 degrees Celsius) lower compared with X73 at the same ambient temperature. A significant difference between their thermal performance can be seen more when both are subjected to a load. The Z73 recorded a whopping decrease to 42 degrees Celsius. All of the pictures reveal to mount this with the tubes at the top. This causes air bubbles and kills the cooler causing the fans to run more difficult and temps to remain greater. If front mounting, televisions on the radiator must be at the bottom. Air rises to the top. After switching my temps are cooler and the fans stay quieter at medium loads. I have an H510 case, but the x63 does not precisely fit well. You need to really press it therein, however it will fit with a bit of elbow grease. Its simple to ingratiate televisions at the top, however your cooling/performance will suffer considerably. Our main focus of this review is the new Kraken X73 RGB, as mentioned previously the only difference with these coolers compared to the originals is the new RGB fans. Gone are the Aer P 120mm units with interchangeable colour trims that came with the regular X-3 AIOs, and in are the new Aer RGB 2 fans with an opaque diffuser ring housing eight RGB LEDs. Overall extremely delighted with this product, simple to install, decent temperatures and RGB fans offer the case a nice appearance. Allison C. – Rome, GA NZXT is one of the most respected players in the AIO liquid cooler division. The two Kraken AIO liquid coolers we compared are a testament to that. Currently, nothing beats the thermal performance that the Kraken Z73 offers. And the Kraken X73 is also right up there with its bigger brother. If I were to choose between these two AIO coolers, I would rather choose the Kraken X73 since it still performs quite well without breaking the bank. However, if you are the kind of person who likes the best of everything, go right ahead and choose the Kraken Z73. The design of this AIO is similar to what we've seen before from NZXT and that's a good thing. These are among the best-looking AIOs out there and the performance has usually been pretty good to match. Everything is included to wire everything up so you can manipulate the pump speed using NZXT's CAM software.
