New on the FP-30X, you can now connect to either your iOS or Android Smart Mobile Device to our Piano Everyday App, giving you access to additional sounds, interactive lessons and a diary to log your practice. Piano Everyday also gives you virtual control of the keyboard, enabling you to Split, Layer, change Tone, Volume and many other settings. The enhanced Bluetooth capabilities on the FP-30X now supports Audio, meaning you can stream your favourite songs wireless from your compatible Smart device. I found having this off gave the most natural sounding tone, but people who dislike the SuperNATURAL piano sound’s brightness might find the darker -1 setting to be more ideal.

Complete with built-in Bluetooth audio and MIDI connectivity, take your playing to the next level with play-along sessions and online lessons. Seamlessly connect to music apps on your smart device and benefit from performance-enhancing features on apps such as including Roland’s Piano Every Day, Rolands Piano Designer and even Apple’s GarageBand. Built-in Bluetooth wireless connectivity for using the piano with popular apps on your smartphone or tablet such as GarageBand, piaScore, Sheet Music Direct, and many others None Portable Products Are Repaired At Your Home: Items that are not portable are repaired at your home for no extra fee! These items are Home Digital Pianos (excludes portable pianos) and Acoustic Pianos. So, what does this mean? Having greater polyphony is important to a certain point. It is most important when it comes to layering sounds. As far as changing different settings, you will need to look at the manual as it does require you to hold down one button while navigating. The Roland FP-30X comes with stereo 11W speakers. These speakers have the same wattage rating as those found on the original FP-30, but they do sound better. Includes a wide variety of onboard sounds for every musical genre, including electric pianos, organs, strings, and synthesizers Nu e cea mai intuitiva interfata. Unele functii, precum cele de metronom sunt greu de inteles. Dar cu ajutorul aplicatiei e foarte simplu.

The main use of the Bluetooth connectivity is communication between the FP-30X hardware and Roland’s Piano Every Day app. The Roland FP-30X uses the modeling method, just like most of the digital pianos made by Roland. I can’t argue for or against the technology because I also like digital pianos that use the sampling method. But the SuperNatural sound engine, present on the FP-30X, which is the brain behind the sound of the piano, has a real appeal. The technology creates a wonderful sound, with many different tone. The grand piano sound is so very similar to the real thing. This is really a great advantage, considering the fact that the FP-30X is designed with beginners in mind. What makes these speakers so great for the price point is that the digital pianos from Casio, Yamaha, and Korg don’t matchup in this department. I won’t pretend that I understand every step that goes into the making of an acoustic piano, but those who want control can find it through the Piano Designer app. When you compare this to the FP series, you will notice the specs are pretty close to identical as far as height and weight go. Probably the most specific characteristic for digital pianos, polyphony represents the number of notes that can be played simultaneously. You’d think that there’s no need for much polyphony, but you couldn’t be farther away from the truth. Although you will not need a high limit in the beginning, as you progress, the polyphony limit of your digital piano can limit your expressiveness. The internal chipset seems to be more advanced (as evidenced by the increased polyphony count), and that means a lot of the sounds are subjectively better, and I’ll do my best to highlight the differences throughout the next sections. Convenient Functions: Metronome (adjustable Tempo/Beat/Volume/Tone), Transpose (Keyboard: in semitones), Dual, Split (split point adjustable), Twin Piano, Tone Demo, Speaker volume and Headphones volume automatically select function, Speaker Auto Mute, Speaker switch, Auto Off Recordable Software: Standard MIDI Files (Format 0, 3 parts, Approx. 70,000 notes memory), Audio File (WAV: 44.1 kHz, 16-bit linear format, requires USB flash drive)Internal Songs: 30 Songs

When switching the sound, the original one is briefly interrupted and then fades away, but with a different character, probably some kind of sound effect of new sound The FP30X is also fully compatible with GarageBand, should you have a macBook or iOS. FP30X VS FP30 Roland has just made a great instrument even better! 56 Tones, Bluetooth AUDIO+MIDI, 256 Note Polyphony and proper 1/4" audio outputs. One of the best portable pianos at this price point.Polyphony is rarely an issue unless you’re using arranger keyboards with tons of instruments playing simultaneously, but the peace of mind provided by a high polyphony count is always nice to have.
