I know it sounds like I'm sort of bashing this book but I did give it 3.5 stars, which isn't bad and I did enjoy it. I guess I was just a little disappointed because I know how good Gerritsen can write and this just wasn't up there for me. I would recommend this series.

The murder mystery at the heart of this book wasn't as interesting as the first two books but the character development of Jane Rizzoli and Maura Isles more than made up for it. Jane's storyline is the B-story but could just as easily been the main storyline. I think they'll do a good job with the show. I saw the first episode and they're already taking some of the overly harsh German personalities out of it which is great. I get it for Germany, my Uncle lives there and he tells me that really is how people interact with one another. I'm glad they're bringing it to North America.
