SBSA009’s Seiko 4R36 Movement

Its automatic movement has an accuracy -3/+5 seconds a day, which is within COSC tolerances, and it’s built with titanium for an extra-strong but lightweight construction. Hamilton Ardmore Quartz Seiko is one of the most well-respected watch brands on earth. Solid dive watches like the SKX781 are just one reason why that won’t likely be changing any time soon. It has a sturdy and attractive stainless steel diving bezel that rotates unidirectionally and a bright and highly visible orange dial.

The fact that the finished watch is a stunning design is a bonus. But I don’t want to include it here. It’s neither affordable nor new to you. For this price, you’re getting a great-looking, solidly-built, highly-serviceable, and versatile automatic diver’s watch. Moreover, you’ll be buying your way into an online community of SKX collectors that will gladly take you in and show you the ropes to modding. If you’re not interested in DIY customizations, you can be sure that your SKX011 will give you plenty to talk about with other watch collectors that you meet in the flesh. Edox is a brand that’s known for making well-built and durable watches. This one has a beautiful gradient orange dial and a well-finished dive bezel. The handset is well-designed and easy to read, and the rubber bracelet is flexible and comfortable. I’m a big fan of both brands. But every list of colourful dive watches includes at least one of each - when I did a list of my favourite white dial dive watches I included both - because they are among the best.

Lastly, the face of the watch is protected by a Seiko Hardlex crystal that, while not as scratch-resistant as sapphire, will undoubtedly get the job done. Additionally, since Hardlex is not unlike plastic, it is shatter-proof.
