They presented Pop Idol for two years, before it replaced with The X Factor and Kate Thornton took over. This time the talent would be of various acts — from magicians, to singers, to choirs to comedians, and other types of variety acts — that Britain, and the world, had to offer. I have this on my kindle but then I purchased this on audible, I’m so glad I did because it did not disappoint.

I like that the book was ‘told’ by them, they brought their usuals humour and wit to it and of course you can feel their friendship through each page. Published by Farshore, the book is described as a fun-filled guide to feeling good for children aged 7+, packed with games, jokes, anecdotes, challenges and quizzes to make kids smile. I wanted to punch him and hug him at the same time – and I didn’t know which one I wanted to do first. Another career change for the boys came in 1994, when they began as co-presenters of children's show Gimme 5 on CITV.And then I thought; if this is how I feel reading the book, how much more if I can listen to their banter in the Audiobook? We hope it can inspire young people from backgrounds like ours that things like this do happen to us sometimes. I think I've watched all the interviews with them on youtube and I bought and finished Camp David last week (I'm still thinking if I'll do a review on that one, it's just so sad). In May 2023, Ant and Dec announced the 2024 series of Saturday Night Takeaway would be their last for a while. At first, the SMTV:Live’ show wasn’t doing very well up against a well-established show like ‘Live and Kicking’.

In this programme celebrities are sent to the jungle and do tasks to win food for themselves and their camp mates. stars from me- i’ll be forever grateful that i found out about all the drawings david walliams used to do on ant and dec’s scripts and the nicknames he had for them, and dec’s fear of needles being significantly worse than his fear of having a spider bite swell up when they were in australia (yes there are pictures in the book of him passed out on the floor). By far my favourite celebs, two amazing guys whose friendship is amazing to see, which is why I got soooo excited when I heard this book was coming out and was ecstatic when it arrived on my doorstep! However, in March 2018, he was involved in a three-car road collision which involved a young family. At first I was worried I would miss out on the photo's that the boys had spoken about on recent interview. Ant and Dec first met HRH Prince Charles in 2001, where they interviewed him about the 25th anniversary of ‘The Prince’s Trust’. This year was when ‘End if the Show’s Show’ became a new feature, and in this series Ant and Dec performed their big music hit ‘Let’s Get Ready to Rhumble’.

Don't get me wrong, I like reading autobiographies of interesting people but most of the time, it was always an exaggeration of the things that happened in their lives, not to mention, it was always written by someone else. In 2002, Ant and Dec devised a Saturday night television show that would have features like ‘Win the Ads’, ‘I’m A Celebrity Get Outa Me Ear!

Having the pair of them tell their story in a way only this pair of cheeky chaps could, made it so much more enjoyable and real. It's broken down into a chapter per show, a bit about how they got the show and a funny story that happened. For the last few years I've been looking out on audible for the Ant and Dec story, in their own words, and this one does not disappoint.

In 2002, a year after Saturday Night Takeaway's debut, the boys joined I'm a Celebrity and have become huge parts of the show. Ant and Dec came together to create a new show about their ancestors and to find out where they both came from. It's full of backstage stories and gossip of our 30 years working together and it's very good isn't it Dec? I really enjoyed this book as I'm a huge Ant and Dec fan ☺ The only reason it isn't a 5 star is because I knew some stories as they're in the first autobiography. We said to each other, 'Look, whatever happens, I'll always be there for you and you're never in this life on your own or against the world – you've always got a mate looking out for you.
