This makes a great core for a standard Ork list, though it’s not the place to start if you want to build an exclusively Speed Freeks or Beast Snagga force. Before you commit to an infantry horde, first paint your Ork boyz and ask yourself “do I want to paint another forty of these?” If the answer is yes, congratulations! You have what it takes. Now buy two more boxes of Ork Boyz to get started.

While different Aeldari armies might choose to focus on specific aspects of the combat arts, they have a host of iconic units at their disposal. These are likely to be some of your mainstays. Farseer The real shame of this box is that Sisters tanks just don’t see much play. While Exorcists were a mainstay of Sisters armies prior to their 2021 codex, modern competitive forces rely much more on foot-slogging lists, potentially with the support of a rhino or two. That said, Immolators do see some use in good lists here and there – most recently at the North and South GT in a top 4 list, where taking 1-2 can give you a tough, mobile source of multi-melta shots, and a recent September GT-winning list featured an Exorcist, and neither are bad units. Beyond that, the Sacresants and battle sisters are must-haves in every Adepta Sororitas army and the Dogmata shows up in most, making this a box that’s great for new players and potentially still a good value for players looking to add to their army who don’t mind adding a couple of tanks. Final Verdict: Good ValueUmm…yes. After the change from the Balance Datasheet, this battleforce box is looking pretty spicy. Enjoy the updated Core units in the box and use it as a freshly awoken Necron force. You’ve got lots of room to grow with some solid options you’re going to find a use for all the time.

Sagitaurs have been hard to get, Land Fortresses are great, and Hearthguard is probably the best unit in the army, so this is a fantastic box! Beast Snagga Stampede – Orks Battleforce When a charismatic Ork Warlord gathers enough Orks to their banner, their combined excitement incites a wild crusade of sector-swallowing violence called a Waaagh! Worlds burn, and ever more Orks are drawn in to join the fun. The main event next week is Battleforces, massive boxes containing a wealth of units for a faction. They’re the ideal place to start a new army for the new year , or to expand an existing force. There are 10 boxes (count ‘em) split between Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar. First up, everyone’s favourite grim future gets six boxes. These cranky killing machines are off to reclaim the galaxy by force, and this box comes with more than enough firepower to do just that, with Lokhust Heavy Destroyers and Canoptek Doomstalkers. You will also get a Psychomancer, a squad of Necron Warriors, and melee support in the form of Flayed Ones and Ophydian Destroyers. Adeptus Mechanicus Battleforce: Omnissiah’s Talon

Happy Hunting

Add a little more finesse to your slaughter with the Sybarite Blade-Carnival, which collects a cavalcade of elite Slaanesh Mortals in one place. When these peerless warriors aren’t preening, they’re a surgical strike force comprising 30 miniatures – perfect for tearing reality in two and summoning gaggles of Daemonettes. Although it’s a fantastic set of miniatures, they will only net you an average 33% discount overall – which still makes them the second highest savings made in the group.

Next week the Warhammer Twitch channel will host The US Open 2021 Finale, which is taking place in Texas on the 4th and 5th of December. This even brings the series to an exhilarating finale, and you’ll be able to watch the action live, with commentary. First up are the vampires of the Soulblight Gravelords, who lead a dolorous horde of brainless thralls in a bumper box which contains 66 miniatures. Hordes of Deadwalker Zombies are particularly useful for pinning down enemy forces while the Vengorian Lord and their Blood Knights swoop in for the jugular. The truth of the Orks is a little more complicated. Their innate genetic knowledge of technology, incredible resilience, and utter love of war, are actually the result of careful genetic engineering performed at the dawn of time. The ‘Krork’ were created by the Old Ones as weapons for their war against the Necrons. The Old Ones were destroyed, and since then the Ork species has become ever more slapdash and bestial. Unfortunately, this box does sit on the lower end of bargains at 30% average. However, it does feel much more substantial than the Space Marine in terms of models. This box is worth 840 points on the tabletop, which is almost the most of these boxes. Almost. Tyranids – Onslaught Swarm Contents Worth noting for fantasy fans: GW also announced a range of eight Warhammer Age of Sigmar Battleforces for 2022. Valrak didn’t know how many Hormagaunts and Genestealers will be in the box but based on discount I expect either a 3/1 split for Hormagaunts or a 2/2 split, with the 2/2 split it would be 305€ and 41%) A Psychomancer cryptek leads the force, with a unit of 10 Necron Warriors and three Scarab Swarms making up the durable centre. The real killing work falls to a Lokhust Heavy Destroyer, three Ophydian Destroyers, five Flayed Ones, and two huge Canoptek Doomstalkers. Many of these units recently received the CORE keyword as part of the Balance Dataslate , and enjoy a new lease of life**.

There’s no denying, these are some real solid boxes. GW keep pumping out good ones every year, and this one follows up excellently. Some pretty great boxes overall, and if these rumors are true, each army is going to get a decent number of savings. Orks are looking to come out on top, but the Nids box and the Space Marines box will be getting a ton of new minis in their boxes. The Boyz in this set can be built with Sluggas or Shootas. Which you choose will come down to taste; we’d recommend mounting yours in the Trukk with some Sluggas and Choppas to make the most of their close-combat prowess. The Aeldari are a long-lived race, but in the aftermath of the Fall, they faced a slow demise, and a horrifying afterlife – for Slaanesh has staked its claim on each Aeldari soul in death. In response, the Asuryani bound themselves to soulstones, which capture their souls at their deaths to prevent Slaanesh from taking them. In times of great need, these soulstones are embedded in wraithbone constructs, so that the dead can bolster the armies of the living. There are many such constructs, including the mighty Wraithlord , the towering Wraithknight , and beyond. Fire Prism This Ork box is a great start to those who want to start a Beast Snagga themed force, but maybe not for those who are into classic Orks. Still, every sculpt is fairly recent, and the Kill Rig is an unexpected gem. Also, the savings of 37% average also make it one of the higher bargain battleforces. This box will net you 730 points for the tabletop. Orks – Beast Snagga Stampede ContentsThe Bonereapers box reigns supreme at the highest value (for both AoS and 40k), but most of the boxes have a decent mix of units, and if you need everything in the box, buy away and save those hobby dollars! 2023 Warhammer 40k Christmas Battleforce Contents & Value Rumors December 2021 – and sorry if that’s not 100% clear. All we have to go on right now is the few words the community team have put out.
