And as you mentioned they removed few useful features such as shaving time and adjustable motor function on latest LV67 and LV97 so cost cutting downgrade. This must be a great feature to defeat the rivals while no other device can give you a full shave with only a 3-minute charge. If you are a fan of older Arc5 shavers, it’s a common question for you why should Panasonic upgrade the Arc5s and what are the upgrades?

The B revision was an incremental update and the differences between the B shavers and the previous ones are subtle: I have a ESLV65 shaver, about 3 years old. I want to replace the foil and blade with WES9036 parts, which I understand you to recommend. Given that the cost of these is around 40-50% of teh cost of a new shaver, do you think it is worth it to replace the foil and blades, or should I just go ahead and buy a new ESLV65? What I am worried about is the battery on my shaver. It seems fine now, but how much life might be left in it? Do these batteries typically last 4-5 years? I generally shave every day.. So, you can tell the Panasonic arc5 is the most advanced electric razor in the world in terms of cutting blades. But the automatic sensor is too intelligent to select the best suite power to make the shave comfortable and efficient. The Arc 5 family of electric razors from Panasonic is certainly at the very top when it comes to performance and even value for money. No, the trimmer is called a precision trimmer. So, you can only make precision trimming to your sideburns, mustache, and very thin hairs. the ’67 just got here and battery deader than a doornail, so i’m reviewing your hints and tips before i go fire it up. i didn’t shave this morning deliberately so i could give the new one a good workout to start with–to teach it that there will be no pampering here.

In terms of ergonomics, it has a tapered body that fits well in hand and it has a bulky head but overall is nicely balanced. Its ergonomics are also helped by its lightweight. So while it’s not as comfortable as a Braun Series 7 or 9, the Panasonic ES-LV67 will likely be good enough for most users. If you look over the older shaver and the newer shaver, you will find the whole shaver looks different. Panasonic touts about the 70 000 cross-cuts per minute which is nothing more than the number of cycles per minute multiplied by the number of blades (14 000×5=70 000). For beginners or users with light facial hair, the ES-LV67-K could be a bit overkill in the sense that they would still get really good results with a less expensive razor like an Arc 4 or even Arc 3.And yes, this holds true with cell phone batteries. Want to double the life of your cell phone battery, charge it to only 80% each time. Charge to only 70%, and you’ll triple the life of the battery. I keep mine between 30% and 70%, and it has well over 1,000 charge cycles on it, and it is still as good as new. Right, let’s now get to the most important part of the review — how the Panasonic ES-LV67/ES-LV97 actually shaves. Some electric shavers (both foil and rotary) are better with these hairs, but I don’t think it’s worth getting one just for this. The ones that are really good (Braun Series 7/9, Philips S9000 Prestige) are also very expensive, so I would try the aforementioned tweaks.

That said, I decided to put everything together into a comprehensive, easy-to-read comparison guide that should provide the answers to the most important Arc 5 related questions. However, it’s also one of the most confusing lines of shavers out there: countless updates, revisions and model names that make no sense. Those two were also top performers and unsurprisingly, their successors, the ES-LV67 and ES-LV97 respectively, follow suit.

A sensor that supposedly detects the density of the beard is nothing new and we’ve seen it on past models as well.
