The chemistry between the two is really good and the smut is super juicy. The murder mystery aspect was something I enjoyed and how 'Z' handled the crimes.

The first book of this series was a dark romance. This book, the second, was just dark. Very little romance to speak of.

There’s a point where the heroine goes to a club and meets this guy, Archie. While she’s at the club, Zade messages her I am so heartbroken over how this book turned out. The main reason i am reducing one star is because the first two times they had sex, he forced himself on her. They both knew it. This continuation and completion to the Cat and Mouse duet was beautiful and heartbreaking in soo many ways.
