About this deal

Prayer is so hard that unless circumstances demand it most of us simply do not pray. We prize accomplishments and productivity over time in prayer. Even Christians experience this prayerlessness-a kind of practical unbelief that leaves us marked by fear, anxiety, joylessness, and spiritual lethargy. Thessalonians 5:16-18 - Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you A Word to Pastors”: Miller closes several chapters with thoughtful reflections specifically for church leaders Matthew 26:41 - Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Prayer requires humility. It means admitting that God has our lives in His hands and that He knows what is best for us. It means being honest about our sinfulness and asking for forgiveness from God and from those we have hurt.

Prayer keeps us humble because we realize that God is bigger than our problems, so we don’t have to try to solve them ourselves. We realize that He has a plan for us, so we can leave it up to Him instead of trying to make all the decisions ourselves. The notion of a two-way conversation with a God you cannot literally see or hear can feel confusing and frustrating. It takes time and practice to develop your comfort and confidence with prayer. God, thank You for working everything for our good. Thank You for never leaving us or forsaking us. Thank You for being God. I am just praying for my family right now. You know each of our hearts, our strengths, our weaknesses, our doubts, and our fears. You made each of us Your masterpieces. I pray that each of us gets closer to you. I pray we each seek You in everything we do and continue to grow in our relationship with You. I pray that as my family wakes up, as they go through their day, and even as they rest at night, that Your light and Your love will be so clearly present in their hearts, minds, and to others. In Jesus’ name, amen. Prayer is our opportunity to get to know the God who created us, sustains us, and loves us. And yet, when we come before God, we often present Him with a list of things we want—like a grocery list. Can you imagine if you did that to your spouse or a dear friend? What a downer! It wouldn’t feel very much like a conversation. When we talk to other trusted people in our life, we usually talk quite naturally, jumping from one topic to another, or we spend hours geeking out over the details of our favorite topic, reveling in the feeling of being understood and loved. A few years ago, I saw a friend in passing. We caught up for a few minutes. At the end, I asked him if he would pray for something I had shared with him, assuming he would just take that request home with him. To my surprAs His children, we can ask our Heavenly Father for healing because he wants to see us whole. As well as being whole in our spirit and soul, he wants us to be whole in our bodies as well.

Did you know that when people pray, they often experience positive changes in themselves or their relationships? Prayer is a powerful force that can help us change our situation for the better. Kneeling or bowing your head are great ways to focus your body and mind on God. It’s a symbolic way to demonstrate that you respect His authority. John 17:1 also describes Jesus looking toward Heaven when praying. Do I pray to God the Father, Jesus or the Holy Spirit? There isn’t a right or wrong way to pray to God just so long as you’re sincere with your words and not selfish in your prayers. In other words, even though we may be surrounded by danger – whether it be physical or spiritual – our heavenly Father will be watching over us as long as we ask Him for help every day through prayer. The idea of loving and praying for those who persecute or mistreat us astounds those who walk without God. But this is exactly what God asks us to do.A praying woman is a woman who has faith in God and His promises. She knows that God is the God of miracles, she knows that He can do anything and she knows that when she prays, He hears her prayers.

Your children will see their mother praying for them and learn how to pray for themselves and others as well as trust that God will answer their prayers. We fill ourselves with God’s Word to fight anxious lies. We strengthen our spirits by worshiping God with a community of other believers. We pray. And we pray some more! Father God, with the rising sun, Your mercies are new. I’m excited about the gift of this day! Fill me with love that casts out fear . Fill me with hope that endures. Fill me with strength when I am tired. Fill me with patience for my family, friends, and coworkers. Fill me with Jesus, who is all I need. Let me not lose heart . Though outwardly, I sometimes feel spent and tired, inwardly, I know You are renewing me day by day. Please help me to face my troubles knowing they are light and momentary compared to the eternal glory that outweighs them all! You continually make me new! Thank You! In Jesus’ name, amen. Prayers for Strength for Your Family The benefits of a praying woman can not be overemphasized. One thing that all women desire and need more of, is prayer. When women pray, doors open; when women pray, decisions would be reversed and dreams can become a reality. Praying women are able to see danger before it comes because they are watching and listening for the Lord’s guidance.
