About this deal

Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree: The local bears are jolly creatures who spend the special celebrating a bear holiday called the Midwinter Honeypot Waltz. This trope may have something to do with how unlike their fellow carnivoran mammals like wolves and big cats, bears are omnivores as opposed to obligate carnivores, some species even leaning toward or even being herbivorous (most famously Giant Pandas), and so goes the assumption that Herbivores Are Friendly. Cool Old Guy: Despite his apparent insanity, he helps Dipper and Mabel greatly, and finds a kindred spirit in the latter.

In Sadko, The Big Guy proves his strength by wrestling a bear. When the Mystery Science Theater 3000 crew riffed on the film, they turned this scene into the bear staging an intervention and giving the guy a hug. Naga from The Legend of Korra also counts. She's a "polar bear dog" (part polar bear, part Big Friendly Dog), and is Korra's best friend. Version 1.5 adds a buyable telephone, and you may sometimes receive calls from the bear thanking you again for the syrup. How he got a phone is a riddle for the ages, since Robin (who sells it) doesn't speak forest magic.

Sugarbunnies

Bongo the Bear from the first segment of Fun and Fancy Free is a friendly, somewhat bumbling circus bear. Like Brother and Sister: While mischievous and a troublemaker, he has a close relationship with Tsunko/Tzunko (his little sister). While Tsunko acts more feminine compared to her brother. She does get a little mischievous once in a while. Sunni and Cubbi are a Cheerful Child pair whose interactions with and without the other can cause some serious hilarity.

Like Father, Like Son: Badtz-Maru shares similar personality traits as his father. This aspect is hightlighted in this Japanese comic ◊ from Sanrio's monthly magazine "Strawberry Magazine" from the mid 1990s. Commonality Connection: He's a huge fan of BABBA, the same girly pop band that made Dipper go on his quest for manliness. Upon bonding over this, Dipper can't find the will to hurt him. Prone to Tears: In Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater, My Melody is very sensitive and can sometimes be found crying. One episode has her literally crying over spilt milk as she is cleaning the floor in the episode "Catula". Another episode, titled "Hello Mother Goose" had Little Bo Peep (played by My Melody) crying over her lost sheep.

Franklin's best friend, Bear and his family, from the books, films, and two Animated Adaptations. Bear is the kindest and sweetest bear you could ever meet who is always noble, courteous, honest, and tender to Franklin and his friends. He is a Gentle Giant who has the biggest heart out of his friends and is made of Incorruptible Pure Pureness. Seymour Eaton's The Roosevelt Bears was a serialized children's story about two amiable talking bears, Teddy B. and Teddy G., who travel across America in the early 20th century. In the original American show, there is an entire family of bears that are on friendly terms with the other residents of the namesake street, but Baby Bear is given the most focus, in particular having a very strong friendship with Telly Monster. Weaksauce Weakness: They can be melted quite easily. By easily, we mean "getting hit with electric candle" or "being exposed to direct sunlight for more than a second".

The Element Encyclopedia of Witchcraft noted a conspicuous absence of bears in some shamanic societies' legends, probably owing to the He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named-ness. Though Celtic lore does mention the bear as the king of the animals (a distinction kept until the popularity of the lion as a symbol for Jesus). Voiced by: Junko Takeuchi (regularly since 2005, Onegai My Melody), Emily Woo Zeller (English Dub of Onegai My Melody), Aracely Arambula (Spanish Dub of Onegai My Melody), Jenny Yokobori ( Hello Kitty and Friends Supercute Adventures), Unknown Voice Actress (English version of "Greedy Greedy" )Piano is also able to speak normally on some of Sanrio's video games such as Loving Life with Hello Kitty & Friends, Hello Kitty Online, and Hello Kitty Seasons. Tae the Bear God of Lusternia. He has a Little Guy, Big Buddy relationship with his (much brighter) friend Bollikin, and spends most of his time playing with his bear creations and eating honey. He still shouldn't be messed with, though. Sometimes in the media, bears have been portrayed as fierce and intimidating, but that's not always the case. Some of the other portrayals paint bears in a more sympathetic light, sometimes even to the extent of being a Gentle Giant, and their big size certainly helps. Through such portrayals, they are not merely non-aggressive aversions or subversions to Bears Are Bad News, but they tend to show friendly interactions with humans or other sentient beings. Not that they can't be bad news if you, ahem, get funny with one. On October 30, 2021, Sanrio and CHOCOLATE Inc, launched a project entirely focused on Kuromi called "KUROMIfy the World" in hopes to invite people to join her in creating "a world where everyone can aim to be the best they can ever be." alongside launching an official Kuromi Youtube channel . Special Kuromi posters and a statue of her has also been found in Shibuya City until November 13th, 2021 with Kuromi making her musical artist debut with the song "Greedy Greedy" . Affably Evil: Jeff is very friendly and personable, but still tries to force a twelve-year old girl to marry thousands without regret. He was also planning on eating Steve if he didn't get any pie.
