A new Taskmaster book - Bring Me The Head Of The Taskmaster: 101 Next Level Tasks - is to be published in September 2021. The book's publication will be timed to coincide with the next series of the hit show arriving on Channel 4. As recently revealed, Alan Davies, Desiree Burch, Guz Khan, Morgana Robinson and Victoria Coren Mitchell will take part in Series 12.

It was a close call with Sarah, who was short of just ten points at 174. Munya ended up earning 150 points, while Fern and John made Taskmaster history with a joint fourth place, finishing off with 144 points each.Taskmaster is already watched by a broad multi-generational audience and in terms of profile was Channel 4’s youngest skewing series last year. In terms of audience share of young viewers (16-34) it is in the top three in the coveted 9pm slot, with Gogglebox and Derry Girls. For the finale's third challenge, the contenders had to play copycat chess, replicating Alex's every move in the exact same time as him. The group task saw two teams composing a specific lullaby for a profession of their choice, with Mae, Jenny and Kiell penning a soothing one for a watercolourist and Ivo and Frankie coming up with an inappropriate one for a dog walker. Taskmaster was crowned Best Comedy Entertainment Show at the National Comedy Awards 2021, Best Comedy Entertainment at the BAFTAs 2020 and won Best Entertainment Programme at the Broadcast Awards 2018, having previously received two more nominations for both awards.
