This can be really upsetting to read at times as it follows Joey's problems and the decline in his well-being and mental health. god i’m begging you be merciful for once and give this boy some happiness and one moment of peace. c'mon that's really not that much to ask for. 😭😭😭 All in all Aoife Molley pls marry me! Chloe Walsh couldn’t write a better heroine .. SHE IS PERFECT. so, chloe announced she is taking an indefinite leave of absence which is 100% understandable, but yeah, that’s the update. maybe we’ll get Joey’s book in the future, maybe not, who knows, I’m just glad the author is putting herself first.

I’m really hoping that they all get their own stories and happily ever afters as every single one of the deserve it. this could technically be read as a stand-alone, as it takes place before binding/keeping 13, but i highly recommend reading that duet before this one. JOEY. my god. he is so broken and troubled but has the best heart. his love for his siblings is so incredible and i wanted to give him the biggest hug while reading this. if shannon’s was about her finally coming up for air, joey’s is about him drowning in the stress and pressures of his life.i also don’t know why i expected this to retell some of the events from b13 but it really ended a day before b13 even started (but the amount of serotonin i got from that johnnygibsie appearance makes up for that like that genuinely made my entire year)

I kinda loved that Aoife has been emotionally cheating on Paul the entire time only to actually cheat on him with Joey later on in the book. 👹👹 I wasn’t sure if it was immense relief or bitter regret I felt when I watched my father release Joey and climb to his feet. Even if I wasn't sold on the romantic aspect of the story and didn't shed any tears while reading it, it's a great book with interesting characters worth reading, in my opinion. It was almost like a prison sentence with no parole. this series will not be for everyone, because like i said, parts of it are VERY dark. but i just can’t recommend it enough. every book reads like a movie. and for every dark or hopeless scene, there’s one that will have you literally laughing out loud or believing that joey and aoife are pure soulmates. Saving 6 was not like I expected it was going to be-I didn’t realize they had changed the blurb, so I went thinking it was a second-chance romance with pregnancy trope-, yet it met my very high expectations. I read this baby in two sittings and have so many highlights I could write another full-length novel with them. Every scene where she tells him do that or I’ll scream and he ends up doing that and he’s like FINE! Chloe Walsh has surpassed herself again, from the get-go you will be hooked, you will be sad, angry, elated, hysterical and you will absolutely love it!'
