Experiment with application frequency. Most people can go somewhere between 48 hours to a week without reapplying. Showers don’t affect it! The majority of standard deodorants are also antiperspirants (sweat stoppers). They use the various chemicals listed above to have their product work as an antiperspirant as well as a deodorant. One customer shares in her Nuud Deodorant review, “ Nuud is life changing at least for me. I use it every 2/3 days and don’t have any smell even when working out and it lasts me for months making it cheaper than regular stuff.”

Nuud is an anti-odorant that they claim it lasts an impressive 3-7 days with only one application. Sports, being active or showering should have no effect on nuud’s effectiveness. How is nuud different you other deodorants? Some people find that they go through a 'detox' period of a few weeks as their pores gradually get rid of antiperspirant build-up, and this can temporarily lead to additional sweating and odour. nuud’s base ingredient is pure metallic micro silver which is naturally antibacterial and gentle on the s Natural moisture absorbers, such as tapioca starch, arrowroot and kaolin clay, are typical ingredients used in these products, along with antibacterial ingredients such as baking soda, citric acid and ammonium alum, which prevent odours. I do not experience any odour from this at all and I am pretty sure the skin on my armpits is appreciating the break from the daily application of chemicals. But to know a little bit more about those lumps, we have to take a closer look at our lymphatic system. To start of, the lymphatic system is a circuit made up of lymph vessels, lymph fluid and lymph nodes. Lymph vessels capture lymph fluid from tissues and organs and leads that to the lymph nodes. The function of lymph nodes is to transpose anything that does not belong in your body. They are made up of white blood cells, also known as immune cells. They filter out damaged cells, germs and foreign substances present in the lymph fluid. The other ingredients that make up Nuud’s magic formula are also entirely natural, including: coconut oil, castor oil, zinc oxide, almond oil, mineral clay, vegetable emulsifier, castor oil extract, vegetable mix-enhancer (known as propylene carbonate) and carnauba wax.

The base ingredients in Wild deodorant includes tapioca starch to absorb moisture, and sodium bicarbonate to control odour. Extracts of essential oils provide the fragrances. Some might react to the bicarbonate of soda. One user told us: 'My girlfriend said it was really good, but it irritated her skin after a few months due to the bicarbonate of soda in the ingredients.' Another user told us they found it effective, and that the initial itchiness from the bicarb settled down after a few months. So you might need to give it a trial to see if it works for you. The company says its products are 100% natural, free from preservatives, alcohol, artificial fragrance and palm oil, and are registered with The Vegan Society. The Nuud deodorant has the consistency of a normal moisturiser or lotion, and the scent is slightly similar to the scent of fresh paint! Not that the smell has anything to do with its usage or effect as a deodorant, but it is worth a mention. In contrast to other deodorants the Nuud deodorant does not try to mask or overpower the smell of your body odor with perfume instead it aims to neutralize it. Moisturising agents tend to be naturally derived options such as cacao or shea butter, coconut and almond oil.

Nuud recommends giving your armpit microbiome some time to adjust to its new deodorant and “detox” from ingredients like aluminum salts and baking soda, which affect how you smell and produce sweat. Does Nuud Deodorant ship internationally? Your little trial tube is remarkably small. However, it lasts an average of 6 to 7 weeks. This is because nuud is super concentrated. You only need a little bit each time! Wash your armpits with soap, dry them well and rub about a pea-size of nuud in each armpit. But remember, don’t put too much! We mean it when we say it; nuud is super concentrated and very easy to apply. Now, I spent a long time researching these claims, particularly as I noticed that Nuud deodorant advertise that their product is aluminium and chemical free. Why advertise this, if it’s not considered a negative ingredient? If you would like to try it for yourself, I have a 15ml tube for one of you to try, that’s enough to last about 6 weeks. Enter using the app below I’m always looking for ways to use more natural products and be eco friendly for both my health and the environment. One of the products I’ve been recently trying is Nuud deodorant.

What is nuud deodorant?

A 45g jar lasts two months, so it's reasonable value for money, plus the availability of mini sizes is useful so you can try it before committing to a bigger size. Many consumers are also becoming more conscious and concerned about the ingredients in their skincare and beauty products. This industry is undergoing some major changes to meet new standards in human and environmental health, and Nuud Deodorant is committed to making a positive impact in both areas. Aluminium spray cans often have some plastic parts, such as nozzles and lids, that are harder to recycle, while aerosol sprays have their own environmental implications. Instead, this deodorant is 100% natural and is housed within a bioplastic sugar cane tube and a biodegradable cardboard box. It is also vegan friendly and has never been tested on animals. The Deodorant Itself As said before: nuud does not contain nanoparticles. It simply clings on to the surface of the outer layers of your skin and fights body odour causing bacteria. As it does not enter your skin, it will not interfere with the inner workings of your body. If you are allergic to any ingredient in nuud (or use way too much nuud and have a over-oily skin), you may experience irritation. You can rule out allergic reactions by doing a patch test before putting the deodorant to full use. Apply a pea-sized portion to the inner fold of your elbow and observe for 24-hours. If irritation occurs, do not start using it and inform us accordingly so we can assist you further.

Also, the lid is made out of regular plastic - the company says that when it tried to design a sugarcane lid, it crumbled. Nuud on the other hand claims to be 100% natural and even the tube it comes in, is 100% recyclable, as it is made of sugar cane. The tube itself is tiny and it only holds 15ml of the Nuud product in it. This is great in terms of size but I believe it is also its greatest weakness. How to apply and use the Nuud deodorant However, it’s important to consider your personal needs and preferences. Some people may need time to adjust to Nuud and its less frequent application. You might want to test it on a small area of your skin to make sure it works well for you. Nuud deodorant is free from chemicals, parabens, aluminium, alcohol and perfume. It lets your body sweat naturally while banishing odour and it doesn’t use propellants and sprays. As a result, antiperspirants are trapping inside you an ever-growing mountain of nasty toxins that might – or could – cause an imbalance or illness.
