Inspired by the multiple facets of Hollywood life, Terrywood unveils a series of images of the famous locale, as seen through Richardson’s eyes. Terryworld meets Hollywood, as the local characters, familiar landscapes, and architectural details, now verge on having a new identity. In honor of Terry Richardson's current show ' TERRYWOOD' up at OHWOW in Los Angeles, we bring you a classic shot by Richardson ofCamille Rowe, for Purple #7. 'Terry Richardson’s first solo exhibition in Los Angeles, titledTERRYWOOD , presents over 25 of his latest photographs. Inspired by the multiple facets of Hollywood life,TERRYWOODunveils a series of images of the famous locale, as seen through Richardson’s eyes.' When using a LIVE restoration request, HBS will create a BOOTable entry (if it doesn't exist) into the System's BCD and set a 1-time BOOT into that entry (which is most likely a WIM it just built prior to creating the entry). The System then automatically BOOTs into that WIM and executes the RESTORE asked for on the LIVE System. When finished it cleans up the BCD to eliminate the created entry. Style fanatics hit the Museum of Contemporary Art's Pacific Design Center location (8687 Melrose Ave.) for the invite-only Feb. 25 opening of a show of pieces by avant-garde fashion pioneer Rudi Gernreich. The exhibit features original photos of his model muse, Peggy Moffitt, in the clothes; the shots were taken by her late husband William Claxton. Gernreich famously invented the topless bathing suit in 1964. Moffitt says of the criss-cross bathing suit shown here: "I remember that it took a road map to get into it." Good Luck!

An artist often attributed with changing the field of photography, Richardson also defies the ideological limitations of the practice, while redefining an epitome. Terrywood takes all that Hollywood represents, the celebrity, broken dreams, kitsch, and sorted history, but, just as with all of Richardson’s well-known work, he re-contextualizes familiar imagery, re-identifying it with characteristics reflective of his own persona, imparting them with a different narrative. Celebrated international fashion photographer Terry Richardson employs a signature snapshot aesthetic in his work for Gucci, Levis, Jimmy Choo, and Tom Ford, editorial for Vogue, Harpers Bizarre and GQ as well as the candid portraits taken in his New York City studio. The implementation of low-tech mediums like point and shoot cameras proves that it doesn’t matter what vehicle an artists uses, rather how that artist transcends the limitations of their medium and makes it their own. Throughout his career, Richardson has shot the campaigns of fashion brands and designers such as: Marc Jacobs, Aldo, Supreme, Sisley, Tom Ford, and Yves Saint Laurent. He has also worked for magazines such as Rolling Stone, GQ, Vogue, Vanity Fair, and Harper's Bazaar. [2] Rebecca Schoenkopf. "Radness is Happening". OC Weekly. When you attempted to define him in your question, you listed “artist” last. I think that James is an artist first. James makes art. His art takes many forms. Acting, writing, performing, painting, sculpting, etc.… All fall under the banner of broad category of “art.” James uses his celebrity as a tool, just like a traditional painter uses a brush. It’s just a thing for him to play with when making work. He’s working out ideas in front of the public. Normally, young artists work out their ideas in private until they’re confident enough to present them to the world. James doesn’t necessarily have this option due to his celebrity. It’s a gift and a curse. Terry Richardson, NUDE, 48″ x 72″, edition of 3 with 2 APs, 2011 T., Edward (2014). "How to Shoot like Terry Richardson: Part 1". iLHP . Retrieved November 19, 2014.

No, this was Terry’s first exhibition since 2004 and his first time working with OHWOW. I’ve been surrounded by his work for years but never had the privilege of working with him until now. Working with Terry on this show was a wonderful experience. He had a distinct vision for TERRYWOOD, and it was exciting to see this materialize over the course of a year. As witness to this process, I knew that this exhibition was going to be special. And the overwhelmingly positive response to the exhibition was validation that all of his hard work paid off.
