About this deal

Rivers internal monologue did have me ROARING tho, but I think it was unintentional?? 🤣 the shit she came out with. Whatever I expected him to say, it was not that. Tate wants babies? Why have I never thought about boys as wanting to have children? Honestly, I have never really thought about babies, but the idea that Tate Coleson thinks about… making them… it makes my breath catch.’ This is a sweet and spicy small town romance book that can be read as a standalone novel, or as book 3 in the Phoenix Falls series. I hope that you have lots of fun reading Harper and Mitch's gorgeous story! Giving a character hobbies and music tastes isn’t enough. I didn’t connect to either River or Tate, because their goals/objectives/wants weren’t clearly established. Their interactions lost meaning for me.

I lean my head around so that I can meet his eyes and he runs his hand down his face, groaning a little. River Linton is finishing her Senior year of high school when she runs into Tate Coleson. He has sparkling eyes, dark tousled hair… and he was the worst thing that ever happened to her. Tate is a blast from the past that River is determined to avoid, but keeping her distance is easier said than done. The more time that River and Tate spend together, the more that the truth of her past seems to unravel. As River prepares to graduate and begin a life at college, she must decide whether to believe in her memories or to trust her gut. When the time comes to put her heart on the line, only one thing is for sure: not everything is as it seems. Where We Left Off by Sapphire Hale – eBook DetailsHey baby,” he whispers and I drop my head, overcome with embarrassment, amazement, and pure, pure love. He leans slightly over my clavicle, peering down at my body, and I shrink a little under his scrutiny. I can feel his smile against my cheek. “I love your dress,” he continues, and his thumbs stroke my ribcage gently, as if he knows just how out of my depth I feel right now. He kisses me again and then murmurs quietly, “I knew that my girl would be the sweetest little thing in here tonight.”’ What I didn't like was the plot and conflict. It wasn't interesting and my least favorite trope was used to create the conflict, miscommunication. Also, River's mom, was so irrelevant that I can't even remember her name, or if it was even mentioned 😭. And OMG, it was always raining. ALWAYS. I don't think I've read more about the leads being wet all the time, and not the fun kind 😉. They really need to discover umbrellas. There is a very drawn out sexual assault scene. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. Not every detail needs to be written for a scene to come across as scary, horrifying, or reprehensible. Less is more. River and Tate started off strong, enemies. The objective is clear, River wants to stay away from Tate due to their history and his dad dating her mum is her worst nightmare.

River Linton: River is a determined and resilient young woman who is finishing her senior year of high school. She encounters Tate Coleson, a person from her past who she desperately wants to avoid. As the story progresses, River’s strength and vulnerability shine through as she confronts the truth about her past and makes decisions about her future. So when her parents announce that they're going away for the next three weeks she has every intention of seizing her newfound freedom and finally doing something entirely for herself. Where We Left Off is a coming of age, small town romance, containing some mature content. You don’t have to come to see me every day anymore - it’s not fair to you. I’m going to start planning things. I want to spoil you.” Then he looks up at me with a playful smile. “Are you going to let me spoil you, River?”’ The best time to read a book depends on your personal schedule and preferences. Here are some suggestions: So our main leads, River and Tate, have a history together and they meet again 3 years later when River's mom and Tate's dad (Mitch) date. During your commute: If you take public transportation or have a long commute, you may find it helpful to use that time to read.
