Phase 1 - Physiology (sleep, breathing, nutrition, & exercise)Phase 2 - Psychology (human needs, pattern breaking, mindset, & meditation)Phase 3 - Life Application (recreation, money, work, systems, & relationships)It's sure to generate a few laughs, while challenging you in meaningful ways. Throughout the process, you will think, see, understand, and feel like never before. The title is very enlightening where the author talks about taking an orthodox approach to life when the world is evolving and stepping in the shoes of modernism. It might be difficult for us to part with our cell phones and bright android televisions, but their effects sure keep us awake when our body strives to sleep. So yes, Nate Dallas covers quite a bit of ground in a fairly short book, and it certainly wasn’t written to be the “definitive” book on any of these topics. But it’s rooted in Dallas’s invaluable personal experiences of getting to the top of the Career mountain and realizing that he’d neglected important parts of himself along the way. There’s an element of ceaseless self-questioning in this book that would be a wonderful skill for all of us to develop more fully. If you are looking for something that can change your mind and help you to achieve success, then this is the right guide to mentor yourself. What if anxiety isn’t a medical condition? What if it’s a byproduct of a sound system, alerting you to the need for change right now? What would your inner voice tell you needs to change if you could take time out of your busy schedule to listen? Would you use a manual to help you evaluate important parts of your life one at a time in a methodical manner? Where would you begin if it offered doable suggestions to enhance your routines, money, relationships, mentality, and health? To be more productive, we need to fight our fears and anxieties regularly. By following the book’s simple instructions and adopting a few lifestyle adjustments, we may get rid of these undesirable features. A helpful manual that changes us from the inside out.

We create lasting change by taking control of the things that control our behaviors. We modify inputs to improve outputs.”On another post, there was a situation where it seemed pretty likely that one person was feeling the vibe that she couldn't keep up with the other person, that something about him was intimidating. It was a good date, but the feeling might have been too much, and she unmatched (which kind of drove me nuts, even though I wasn't OP). My favorite chapter was on Human Needs. Though I have read about needs in various books, I liked the simplistic style in which the author has approached this topic, along with a set of reflective questions to ponder. That's also one of the key highlights of the book - more and more questions to reflect upon. As we embark on this journey towards self-understanding, all we need is to ask the right questions. Answers will emerge from within. This book acts as a catalyst in getting those questions in front of us. Most self-help books are vague, unscientific, and repetitive. They often don't clearly define actionable steps to improve our lives. This one, however, is surprisingly different from most self-help books.

The greatest gift we can give ourselves is the ability to forgive. Even if those around you don’t deserve your forgiveness, you deserve it." Book Genre: Business, Education, Health, Mental Health, Nonfiction, Personal Development, Philosophy, Productivity, Psychology, Self HelpPerhaps, for the first time in human civilization, entire nations of people are dying of malnutrition in the presence of excess food.” One of the most valuable skills we can cultivate in daily life is the ability to recognise when we are in a foolish pattern. When I’m willing to accept an excuse in place of the goal itself, I should admit that I never wanted it badly enough in the first place." If you run into a jerk in the morning, you ran into one jerk. If you run into them all day, every day, you are the jerk."

A recurring theme here is the large impact over time of small choices that we are in control of. Simple, obvious stuff like breathing from the diaphragm and prioritizing sleep is well within our loci of control, and once we do regain control of these elemental life processes, a whole lot of other things are going to start falling into place as well.Love is a discipline. It’s not mystical of magical. It is a choice, and it takes practice to be any good at it. This is a good book. I've listened to a lot of books that are in a similar area of expertise or in this case, this book is designed to serve as a guide to help people do better for themselves. You’re too good to feel this bad is a guide of practical, doable, achievable daily steps that can help you live what you know you want but don’t know how to live. It is an all-rounder with health, relationships, finance, mindset and so much more to live an unorthodox life because it is true what he says, you’re too good to feel this bad. What I took away from Nate Dallas' book is that there wasn't anything new but it was that he took the time to collect all common sense knowledge, add a twist of factual science through trial and error that he personally experience himself.

What if anxiety isn't a disease? What if it's a product of a healthy system, signaling you that it's now time to make some changes? If you could pause your hectic life for a moment to listen to your inner voice, what would it say needs modification? Do yourself a favor. If you are genuinely interested in self-improvement and are willing to take responsibility, listen to this book and any other self-help book. If you are not ready to take responsibility, skip it and pivot to other topics that talk about how the individual self, internal and external motivation, expectations, responsibility, perception vs reality and talks about different behavioral topics so that you get a better understanding of yourself. This book is basically stating things that everyone knows but doesn't pay attention to or choose to ignore. It also gives you a actionable steps, but it does not offer a service of ensuring that you follow the steps, If you have the viewpoint that if you don't have steps or some tangible stuff to do after listening to this (which you will certainly have) you aren't ready to read or listen to a book like this which places the responsibility on the listener to take action on the topics being discussed. If you are the type that likes to complain about not having a list of actionable steps, I don't have the resources, or any other reason why you can't try to apply this information, then you are missing the point and you aren't ready for this book. The book is very captivating and gives you incredible bits of knowledge into the human body and psyche. I personally prescribe it to individuals looking everlastingly enduring growth. It comprises of thoughts, bits of knowledge, questions and useful guidance to turn into a more determined, more satisfied, better, and more grounded individual.
