I loved the romance and the tension. It felt like book one all over again, which is great. We're presented with new obstacles and an almost brand new story-line. The friendships are sweet but made of glass, and Amora has to learn to trust herself and others if she wants to meet her goal. I want to bristle. I want to turn and yell about all the things she doesn’t understand. But instead, the air in my lungs deflates as she turns and makes her way to the bow.

No one knows, or he wouldn’t be allowed to stay, and even foolish Yue-shixiong haven’t had nearly enough power to change it. No, it’s better if he didn’t try. Now, before I wrap this review up, can I please take a moment to express how glad I am that this series was written as a duology and not stretched out into a trilogy? Even though it absolutely tore my heart apart, the ending of All the Tides of Fate was absolutely PERFECT, and the story as a whole came to a very neat conclusion. So many series these days are unnecessarily long, which is why I’m happy that the author and publisher recognized that only two books were needed to tell this fantastic story. #DuologiesForTheWin It’s a cruel punishment to hold our council meeting here, but no one says a word, likely thinking the same thing I am—one of us is sitting in the very spot where Father died. You let me in when nobody else would.” He closed the distance between them. His eyes dropped on her lips then meet her gaze: “I though that you could see more, see something different in me than the others, if the people had known what I was they would never accepted me. But I believed that I could convince you.” He cleared his hoarse voice: “I know now that I’ve been fooling myself. You are not the first and surely you wont be the last to despise me. But without you I’m just myself and that is not... I know why you hate me.” Thank you to Netgalley, Titan Books and Adalyn Grace for my arc of All the Tides of Fate in exchange for an honest review.

Shen Qingqiu wakes up early in the morning with two young ladies sleeping next to him, likely using his presence as a chance to avoid some other clients' attention. Guilt consumed Edge. He blamed himself for not noticing Faize's plight sooner, the pain his young friend endured, so he could have helped Faize through his struggles. No one, in his mind, should have suffered as much as Faize had. More than anything, Edge wanted to comfort Faize, to let his friend know he didn't need to suffer alone . . . and that it was okay to accept the fact they couldn't save everyone. It was a bitter pill to swallow, one that galled Edge, but it was something he knew he would have to accept. They couldn't save every person in danger on every single planet, but there was one thing Faize had gotten wrong. There are many fell beasts in Middle-earth and he is master of them all, Galadriel knows. But the wolf does not return to her woods for a long time. With a sudden idea Shen Qingqiu pulls a coin from one of little pouches he has hidden on his person, thinking about how little worth money has to most cultivators, while it could have such a huge impact on commoners life.

Shen Qingqiu had to admit that when they were like this it was easy to put aside all the inconsiderate actions of his foolish shidi. Liu Qingge was pretty tolerable as long as he didn’t speak. When he unlatches from her cunt and the cool air of the night hits her Galadriel cries. He lets her unfold, lets her leak from cunt and eyes and mouth, under the onslaught of feelings and textures, man and beast, Halbrand, with his jewel eyes and sunken cheeks, paler than the day she met him but alive, cursedly alive and lying on top of her, kissing her tears away just as his fingers impale her, stretch her, rub her down and lift her up to another painful peak, over and over again. To save herself and Visidia, Amora embarks on a desperate quest for a mythical artifact that could fix everything—but it comes at a terrible cost. As she tries to balance her loyalty to her people, her crew, and the desires of her heart, Amora will soon discover that the power to rule might destroy her. Shen Qingqiu felt oddly excited, holding a new title close to his chest, all giddy as he sneaked down the mountain, trying to avoid scornful eyes as he went on to visit his dear, kind aunties in the brothel. He was no longer Shen Jiu, no longer a boy with a number for a name. New one wasn’t that much better but it meant respect, and he would appreciate that and share good news with brothel ladies. But alas, here they were, on a mission forced to work together, a muscle headed idiot who didn’t listen just pushing through obstacles and scaring off the informers; a designated tactics who studied in depth all possible monsters, spirits and demons, by this point too exhausted to try explaining explaining anything to man who never listens; and one, supposedly the well organized man specializes in ensuring stability and safety in travel, who mostly his sits to the side, rarely putting out remarks that somehow made mood between two of his companions even worse... And yet somehow was a peak lord too. Appearing weak and helpless, dodging the gaze, man could not be less impressive. And yet Shen Qingqiu has to admit that even this man shamelessly covering behind them had better cultivation than Send Qingqiu himself. If only he would actually use it. Such a waste. With proper control and techniques this man could be so much more, but he chooses to cover and whine instead. Pathetic. He could do better.
