Which is the best lash extension curl type out of all the different types of lash curls listed above? The curliest lashes available are U curl lashes or DD curl lashes. These are best suited to clients with heavily downward angled lashes who want very dramatic, bold and doll eye results. As these lashes are extremely curled, they will provide a very noticeable, non-natural look.

For many clients, a lifted lash look is highly desirable, and can make the eyes seem wider, more open and more attractive. For this, you’ll need ‘lift up curl’ lashes. M Curl and L Curl & L+Lashes fall into the lift up category. M Curl Lashes When using the curlier false lashes like D and U curls, remember when the curl is strong, the length of the extension will appear shorter. So, choose the lash length according to the curl you are using. B curl lashes offer a soft curl, a standard for a naturally enhanced lash appearance with excellent retention. Even though you chose the perfect lash curls for your eyes, everything could immediately go to waste if you don’t do the proper aftercare your lashes need regularly. If you want to know how to do lash aftercare correctly, here are some of the dos and don’ts you should remember: Dos

For these clients, it is recommended to use lash extensions of diameter between 0.10-0.15mm (for Classic), whereas other clients with stronger natural lashes can take 0.15-0.20mm (for Classic). Moreover, it’s important to note that lash extensions are not temporary like strip lashes, which only last a day. Instead, they are semi-permanent lashes that will fall off along with your natural lashes over time. For very natural-looking lashes, clients will need subtle lash curls that can blend with their own lashes. I Curl, J Curl, and B Curl lashes all tend to be in the more subtle lash extension curls type. I Curl Lashes This enables beginner and even expert lash technicians to have a more effortless experience adhering fake eyelash extensions to natural lashes.

Our classic cashmere lashes differ from classic mink eyelashes as the flat base of the cashmere extension adheres better to the natural lash, and promotes increased eyelash retention throughout the lash growth cycle. To make our job a little more challenging, natural eyelashes on one eye don’t necessarily have the same angle as on the other eye. You may see many clients have a mix of different angled lashes on one eye, like in the example below. Then we have J curl lashes. These lashes are not as straight as the I curl, and have a natural looking curl in them much like our own eyelashes. These types of curls are best for those clients who have straight eyelashes or ones that point upwards, as applying these to clients with downward angled natural lashes can make the eyes look too overloaded, small and heavy. Is a newer curl and are curlier than your average lash extension. Its perfect for clients with downward-facing eyelashes. The D curl can help transform downward and straight lashes into the widened doll-eye look. This type of curl is typically used for creating volume and mega volume looks for clients who prefer dramatic lashes. M CurlEssentially speaking, both curl types are best used for those who want a dramatic fluff as well as more volume. Those who want to widen their eyes and enhance their shapes can make full use of the curls. However, if your clients already have upward lashes, D Curls are not ideal, since they can turn out to be overly dramatic once applied. Choosing curls based on eye shapes and natural lashes For Russian volume eyelash extensions, the D curl is perfect to create dramatic glamorous looks. We love how D curls lift and elongate the lash line, both when used alone or in combination with other lash curls. If you want to add extra ‘wow’ to your full set, try applying our Pre Made Spikes in D curls to your lash mapping. To maintain your lash extensions’ curls, avoid rubbing your lashes at all costs as this is one of the most common reasons they get loose and damaged. However, remember that these lashes may appear unflattering and heavy when used on downward-angled lashes because of their long flat base. Better-Bonding Curls (EZ-Curls) EZ-Curl Lashes

B Curl lash extensions are perfect for those with straight or upward lashes as they will give a bit of oomph and open up the eyes. Understanding how lash extensions can enhance a client’s natural eye features is key to selecting the right curl type. Very similar to an LL curl, and great for downward-pointing lashes, straight lashes, hooded lids and deep set eyes. The M curl is dramatic if you zoom in you'll see its an upward-facing curl. It’s a perfect curl style for widening straight eyelashes too. LL Curl Therefore, proper care is necessary to ensure they last longer and the curls remain intact. How to Maintain the Lash Curl Compared to regular lash extensions, the EZ-curl lashes are straighter and have a more extended base that gives a more adhesive area for extensions.Instead, you should elongate the eyes with the cat-eye lash extension style using a looser curl like a C curl to ensure that it balances out the eye’s roundness by creating the illusion of almond eyes.
