About this deal

The birthstone for the ninth month is the sapphire, which was once thought to guard against evil andpoisoning. For decades, the Almanac has referenced the monthly full Moons with names tied to early Native American, Colonial American, and European folklore. Traditionally, each full Moon name was applied to the entire lunar month in which it occurred and through all of theMoon’s phases—not only the full Moon. The BeaverMoon Frost Dates: See the estimated dates of the first fall frost and last spring frost in yourlocation. We’ll have to wait and see if the summer of 2023 will break all above-mentioned records or not. ARE WE GETTING ANY HURRICANES THIS SUMMER?

We may have only just come out of winter but here at Real Weather, we’re already planning for next winter! We have so many requests, so early in the year, asking what the following winter may bring. Sapphire is a form of corundum that is typically blue, a color caused by tiny bits of iron and titanium; the vivid, medium blues are more valuable than lighter or darker forms. Due to various trace elements, sapphires also appear in other colors. Those with red colors are calledrubies. Ready to get your hands dirty? Gardening is our passion—and we want it to be yours, too! Here are all of our most helpful gardeningresources. But it will be extra cold! Winter temperatures are well below average overall, with the coldest periods in late November, late December, and early to mid-January, as well as early February in the north only. Region 13: INTERMOUNTAIN For Winter 2023-24, we see the El Niño phase peaking around December and previous El Niño winters for the UK normally deliver colder weather but also drier winters, we’ve also seen some rather severe cold spells during a El Niño phase in winter.

Next Full Moon: When is the next full Moon? This tool lists the dates of upcoming full Moons, as well as information about each month’s Moon’s traditionalnames. Winter temperatures will be milder than normal in Alaska overall. Specifically, temperatures are 4° above average in December, 5° above in January, and 3° below in February. The coldest periods occur in mid-December, late January, and early to mid-February. Region 18: HAWAIIIf you live in the south and pacific northwest regions of the US, expect to break out your umbrellas a bit more than usual. Though famous for its consistently heavy precipitation, our forecasts for the Northwest call for a drier-than-normal winter, thanks largely to this year’s winter El Niño. The snowiest periods will occur in mid- to late December and mid-January. Expect a white Christmas across the mountains and foothills, but not along coastal locations. Paranormal Ireland brings you creepy tales from the other side – but with an Irish twist. Irish people have always had a longstanding respect for the mystical and the unexplained. Our earliest folk tales are full of references to supernatural entities, from the mischievous faeries who walk among us to the wailing banshee bringing her prophecy of death. What else would you expect from the land that invented Halloween? Kennedy challenged 35,000 listeners, sweltering in the Rice football stadium, to think big: “But why, some say, the Moon? Why choose this as our goal? And they may well ask, Why climb the highest mountain? Why, 35 years ago, fly the Atlantic?” he asked. Then he added another impossible goal, one he had jotted in the margin only minutes earlier: “Why does Rice playTexas?” Lewiston, ME: Every year since 1818, the Farmers’ Almanac provides an extend weather forecast that helps people plan ahead. This year, with the extreme summer weather conditions broiling the country, and the growing concern over the rising costs of heating oil, Farmers’ Almanac is releasing its winter weather forecast earlier than ever. The 2023 Farmers’ Almanac, which hits the store shelves on August 15, is warning readers that this winter will be filled plenty of shaking, shivering, and shoveling.

This full Moon heralded the appearance of the “moss pink,” or wild ground phlox—one of the first spring wildflowers.Be in-the-know about what’s going on with our collection of informative calendar tools—including the ever-popular BestDays! The Great Lakes and Lake Champlain sturgeon were said to be most readily caught during this full Moon. Don't get too excited: apparently, the only person who really knows the formula is the Farmers' Almanac own weather prognosticator, a person that goes by the pseudonym Caleb Weatherbee. Northern Maine, Minnesota, North Dakota, Michigan, and Wisconsin can practically guarantee a blanket of snow on Christmas Day since snow begins falling earlier in the month and these northern areas have freezing temperatures to avoid snow melt. In Minneapolis, it’s an 80% chance. Over northern Michigan and especially the Upper Peninsula, as well as northern Minnesota, 3 out of every 4 years on average feature a white Christmas. Even greater odds exist over northern NorthDakota. The expected El Niño has emerged and should gradually strengthen into the winter. El Niño is a natural climate phenomenon marked by warmer-than-average sea surface temperatures in the Pacific Ocean. Typically, El Niño conditions result in wetter-than-average conditions from southern California to along the Gulf Coast and drier-than-average conditions in the Pacific Northwest. Will we see a “Super El Niño?” We also expect a warm Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation ( AMO) and a cool Pacific Decadal Oscillation ( PDO). Also significant are the equatorial stratospheric winds involved in the Quasi-Biennial Oscillation, or QBO.

We are approaching the middle of Solar Cycle 25, which is increasing in intensity and already as strong as Solar Cycle 24, which possibly had the lowest solar activity in about 200 years. Such low activity has historically meant cooler-than-average temperatures across Earth, but this connection has become weaker since the last century.
